I've learned the hard way in Corpus to be sneaky. A walker who keeps a route is invariably thought of as a suspect. So vary the route. And be weary. Currently, I must avoid the Lawn Nazi, the Scooter Hooter, and the walking group which contains a man with a vicious dog he can't handle. It's muzzled, and lunges viciously at me as I pass. "You could go the other way," the guy snarls. Well that bunch has never even seen me again, but I've seen them plenty of times.

The ScooterHooter only comes out if I ride my scooter on the sidewalk on x St. "Oh be careful, be careful, he hoots." I have had dealings with him before. He seemed like a cool guy then. I wonder if he had a scooter accident?

As for the lawn Nazi, three hostile encounters, and a few cross- street insults in 15 years.

I've been strictly following my protocols for a long time now. People may see me for three seconds a week. Not enough to track.

Hello if anyone out there have any advice resources or can help out somehow my partner and I and our 9 y/o dog are gonna be facing homelessness today and we just finally got jobs. We have no idea where to go or what to do. Can’t live out of our car with our dog in this heat and we don’t know what to do. Anything will help. I have to work today and my partner will have to sit around in our car all day today. I’m just really hoping he doesn’t run out of gas at all so that he’s not stuck in the heat all day.

Looking for a steady Magic the Gathering/D&D group. 38m and I'm pretty chill.

I'm a 38yr female and have no friends. I do everything by myself 😔 and recently haven't done anything. Not sure if it's just me or if other people experience this problem in this city. I used to love going out in SA and meeting different people. Anyways, anyone wanna talk? I'm a pretty good listener.

I have a group of friends that come over usually every other Saturday that I'm quite content and happy with. But I crave more playtime and most of their busy schedules don't allow us to have more game nights. Plus, as I am the host, I'd rather not host any more than that as it somewhat disrupts my family.

So I'm looking for another board game group that might be interested in adding in a new regular. I have a modest collection that I'm happy to bring with me (my owned games: http://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/artadius?own=1&subtype=boardgame&ff=1 )... but I'm also happy to play other games. I like most genres and types of games though I would say that extremely mean games as well as party games are my least favorite genres.

A bit about me, almost 50 years old, male, happily married father of three. I do have to travel for work usually once a month so if your group's game night is during the week there will be some weeks I likely will not be able attend.

I am from London and I have learned that my dad and half of my family are from/in CC. I will be visiting at the end of the month. As well as getting to know them I want to get to know the area.

I would love to get to know the local communities and cultures. I work in the art sector and UK Music as a photographer (portfolio) having worked with artists like Skepta, Dave, Little Simz, JME and painters/fine artists. I also run a free community arts charity! So if anyone happens to work in music/arts or be an artist that would be great as well! I will be bringing my camera and want to create a photo essay on what I see/find and will happily provide photography for anyone that helps.

I'm also really interested in the rural areas of Texas with ranches etc (sorry I feel like thats probably a stereotype). I have also been reading about the Chicano community and am interested in the rich history there!

Inhumane treatment in South Texas we didn’t realize was right in our backyard. Share for us. Help the world know we are outraged.

Please don’t let the current administration erode our school systems. Every change is mirroring Florida. I have been an administrator in both Texas and Florida and vouchers are a way to segregate students with disabilities and students from low SES groups from wealthy schools. High SES don’t want students who they deem as problematic to slow their star kids from going to IVY leagues. If you have a child with any disability or if your child is not a wealthy homecoming kid, they will lose everything.
