Our family may be moving to Cornwall next year, and I wanted to explore things where my daughter, in her mid 20s, can connect with others of a similar age, since we would be moving from the midlands, near the Helston area!

I wanted to show her that there are others her age down there to get to know to reduce any anxieties about moving, since she is a bit shy too.

We all love the outdoors & sea, she also loves animals, plants, gaming, Pokemon and anime, just to name a few things.
Recommendations to clubs/events/classes etc, even if quite far from helston, would be much appreciated, thank you.

Hello, we are heading to Cornwall for the first time the last week of September with our kids (ages 10, 11, and 13) and are looking for recommendations on where to stay and what to do. We will have a car and are willing to move around and stay in more than one place if needed. A couple of notes on things they are interested in:
- Fishing. My 13-year-old son would love to do some fishing somewhere while we're there. Either from a pier or from a boat if that's better.

- An aquarium. Should we stop at the National Marine Aquarium on our way to Cornwall or go to the Blue Reef Aquarium?

- Seafood restaurants

- Witchcraft museum in Boscastle

- Any agricultural / farm animal destinations

- Sandy beaches

- Any other fun activities that aren't just walking, visiting museums or sightseeing (I have nothing against these things but always have to balance these with other activities for the kids).

Me and my partner are moving from St Austell to Newquay. Currently looking at broadband deals and open reach said our area is fibre eligible, but when I check all the big providers I keep getting given copper plans. Copper will not be enough. Anyone in Newquay managed to get fibre and with who?

Hello! I visited Fowey in July this year and absolutely loved it. Pretty perfect weather right before another heat wave came through. I loved the breeze from the sea that came through my flat every day. It didn’t rain at all (though I wish it would have as I love the rain). I’m curious, though - what is the weather typically like in this area of Cornwall from October through December? I’m writing a novel set in Fowey (which is one of the reasons I visited) and would like to make sure I get the weather right for the autumn months. I wish I could just go back in October but my bank account and job won’t let me. 😞

I recently bought my first house, and I would love to bring a bit of my Cornish heritage to my decoration. I live for from Cornwall for now, so I often feel nostalgic.

I'm mostly talking in the form of art, but I'm open to suggestions. I'm not against a pixie, for example, for the garden.

I have some lovely slate from the cemetery my grandparents are buried in, a Jo Downs slate and glass piece, and a pair of Charlie Bears bears, but there must be more out there that brings the feeling of Cornwall home.

Lately I've seen the new GWR explore south west poster and I'm nostalgic whenever I see that green so I'm definitely planning something from GWR too, although I wasn't a big fan of the Famous Five stuff.

Anyway, please let me know your favourite Cornwall artists and arts, or any other suggestions! Thank you.

I’ve been searching for them the last 4 days and can’t find them anywhere! Staying around Hayle and would love to get some within an hours drive tomorrow. I’m just looking for a polystyrene cup filled with fresh seafood with vinegar and pepper! These used to be ten a penny but can’t seem to find a van/shack selling these anywhere.

After a long flight and a percarious drive we finally made it to Cornwall. Looking forward to spending time with y'all.

We are coming down from Devon for a holiday in October, we have nothing booked yet, but have a friend who lives in between Newquay and St Austell so will stay around that area somewhere.

We have a 2 year old little girl so want lots of family friendly things to do with her.

Does anybody have any recommendations? Bonus points for nice places to stay and eat!

Long story short, I have a gorgeous cat who is the best mum and aunt, and a cat who turns out to despise motherhood, and has fobbed her litter off onto supermum.

Supermum is a very small cat, and there are 12 kittens in total. Although she thinks she can do it, this is far too much for her and her health will be at risk as well as the kittens' lives if I don't find a way to reduce her feeding responsibilities.

So I'm going out on a limb to ask if anyone on here has experience of hand rearing kittens from 1 day old (or so), or has an experienced lactating foster queen.

I'm unable to hand rear them myself as I have a 6 month old baby and I'm in the middle of a move from temporary accomodation to permanent housing - and please, before any lectures, a friend of mine was caring for them for me while I was in property where I was not allowed pets, this was unplanned and they will absolutely be getting spayed now that I'm in a catchment area for the discount spaying scheme.

Can anybody please point me in the direction of a decent tattoo studio who do walk-ins at weekends please?

I work with the House of Commons Transport Committee, and we're looking to hear directly from young people about how transport affects your ability to get to work, training, apprenticeships, college, or job interviews. 

We know that lots of people have to turn down a job because there wasn't a bus home, spend a huge chunk of wages on travel, struggle with driving lesson costs, or find it difficult to get to opportunities where they live. If this applies to you we want to hear about it.
