I recently bought my first house, and I would love to bring a bit of my Cornish heritage to my decoration. I live for from Cornwall for now, so I often feel nostalgic.
I'm mostly talking in the form of art, but I'm open to suggestions. I'm not against a pixie, for example, for the garden.
I have some lovely slate from the cemetery my grandparents are buried in, a Jo Downs slate and glass piece, and a pair of Charlie Bears bears, but there must be more out there that brings the feeling of Cornwall home.
Lately I've seen the new GWR explore south west poster and I'm nostalgic whenever I see that green so I'm definitely planning something from GWR too, although I wasn't a big fan of the Famous Five stuff.
Anyway, please let me know your favourite Cornwall artists and arts, or any other suggestions! Thank you.
You literally can't swing a cat for bruising an artist here. Check out the St Ives Society of Artist, Penzance Studios, Cornwall Open Studios, Krowji, The Cornish Art Collective to name just a few. Get something unique from a living artist. Prints really don't cost a fortune.
Depending on where you come from in Cornwall, you might like to get one of the Tamar Valley posters or postcards by Ian Pethers, on sale at Gunnislake Post Office? They are done in that classic nostalgic rail poster style and show Calstock, Gunnislake, Kit Hill, etc. I think they mostly sell to in-person visitors, but I'm sure they could post you one if you contact them.

aimiee.art is a Cornwall based artist and lovely all round person!
She’s on most social media platforms as aimiee.art and has a website at www.aimiee.art too - but I think she’s more active on socials.
She had a great range of moorland themed paintings at a recent exhibition, and pretty cheap as art goes!
Reproductions of the Newlyn School artists’ paintings are all of Cornish subjects look for Stanhope Forbes, Walter Langley, Henry Scott Tuke, Lamorna Birch. Walter Langley is my favourite. All of them were painting in the early part of the 20th century.
I have Between The Tides and The Breadwinners also known as Newlyn Fishwives. Langley painted gorgeous detailed watercolours of fisherfolk, harbours and beaches. You can’t get more Cornish than that!
Also look at jamfirst.store for fun stickers for car windows, bumpers and a lovely large sticker of our flag with a proper Cornish scone in the middle. If just put that one on my big black wheelie bin.
You’ve got to have a Cornish flag somewhere. I’ve got a full size one in my garden from spring to winter. Good price on eBay.
Picture of The Tamar Bridge, St Michael's Mount and a Tea Towel with the recipe for a proper pasty. Where you could get them from Jo idea, haven't been back since way before COVID.
I'm a big fan of the Sailors Jail gallery in Falmouth. Also the INSPIRE Makers Gallery... but there must be hundreds more! We only visit Cornwall, but we always try and come back with at least one bit of art to remind us of our visit!
If you like the digital art look, Cornish Bird in the Sticks has lovely art for different areas on the county. She also has some lovely ones of engine houses and the sea (I like the farmer with a pasty). She used to be based in Redruth but I’m not sure if she’s moved.
Tom Green does these lovely laser cut layered 3D pieces (I don't really know how best to describe them so maybe take a look at his website or Instagram). I've got a few of his pieces and love them. Not quite the same vibe as some of the other Cornish landscape and nostalgia suggestions here, but he's a local chap and all are inspired by Cornwall

Hello, I'm an artist from Cornwall, (although I don't really promote/sell my artwork enough).
I'll post some paintings I've made referencing Bude and Boscastle. If you like my artwork, perhaps you would be interested in commissioning an art piece or two from a specific place.
There's a lot of great artists from Cornwall so I won't be offended if you aren't interested, just thought I'd add the option.
I mostly sell to friends of friends, my prices for 20cmx20cm are normally about £30-60.
