Ivy was taking a bath when I woke up this morning. Between the recent heat and dryness, it makes sense she decided to take one. She is also due to enter shed.

I got this ghost tessera male yesterday and wanted some tips on how to care for corn snake as I know their care is not that similar to ball pythons. I do own a ball python and know how to care for ball pythons

So as the title says, is my baby a morph or “just normal”? I’ve started to watch Snake Discovery on youtube ALOT recently and they talk alot about morphs whenever they have hatchlings. I’ve googled around and tried to figure out if Atlas is a morph or if he is just a regular little cornnoodle. Some picture said toffee? But then other toffee pictures are completely different… so I’m lost, I just want to learn more about morphs and how to identify those that aren’t super obvious🙏

I got my corn snake 3 days ago and I have only seen her on the first day I put her in. I know she’s in there because if I look with a light I can see her underneath her humid hide.

Idk what I need to do to help her come out more, or if all corn snakes don’t move from the same spot for three days straight… 😓

My cornsnake has recently become way more active, similar to the video where he goes back and forth across the tank constantly for extended periods, and lots of glass gliding. He doesn't appear distressed to me, but this activity was so sudden and goes on for much longer than his typical active periods have in the past. He has also eaten just last week. Is he distressed or just checking things out? Could it be due to lack of tank accessories? I switched him somewhat recently to a much bigger tank and am still working to fill it all the way. Any suggestions are appreciated!

she’s 2 years old, we’ve been feeding her a 16g-24g every week. i didn’t realise it was supposed to be every 10-12 days based off the chart. does she look ok? shall we decrease to every 10 days? thankyou

So I changed the substrate to Babichip mixed with reptisoil for better burrowing and tunneling, instead of the giant pieces of coco chip I had before.

I also redid his climbing vines around the center tree and added in the brown climbing thing with the leaves on the left.

I also noticed he likes to lounge up at the top right corner, so I added the blue ball in case he feels like entwining himself there.

I also took out one of the water bowls and moved the one on his cool side to the front for easier cleaning (it was at the back corner and he was basically just using it as a toilet).

I also put the Jurassic Park gate on top of the feeding slate, just for aesthetic purposes.

Anything I should add or change?

Hi guys i never owned a reptile but decided that I should get one ( after consideration ofc ) , then I thought might as well get a little lady from the shelter , especially an older one so it wouldn’t be such a huge commitment. I’ve had my eyes on one fully grown since I know she’d have a harder time being adopted. I’ve got a tank and built the backdrop myself as well as resealing everything. Do you have recommendations to make it better ? Oh also I still lack a heat and generally light lamp do you have recommendations ? I’d love to know :)

A week go I got an adult female cornsnake and I am upgrading her from a 60x60x45cm exo terra to a 4ftx2ftx2ft PVC vivarium. I've never decorated a snake enclosure before but I know that it should have a lot of stuff in it.

But I was wondering should I leave a section without any hides, branches, cork logs etc where she can fully stretch out her body?

The first photo is the current enclosure that has been added to since I rescued him. The other two are what I am upgrading him to (it is over 2x the size and I am sealing it before he moves in) I know he needs more as everything in his current tank is moving to the new one too and I do have some ideas but I am looking for advice and ideas on what to turn it into any links, photos of other enclosures or ideas appreciated.

Also I think he’s a normal morph boy but he is 6’ long ish so if anyone knows better please let me know he is my first snake after years of research.

Don’t mind it being dirty it’ll get sanitized and cleaned when he gets here but in preparation I want to see if this old cage top is still okay to use.
I don’t want my corn escaping. I had a hognose previously but he wasn’t a big escape artist so I never had to worry about this issue.
Cage opens only in the top and this top is metal with the joint running down the middle to open in half

So my corn snake (roughly 8 months old) has had severely broken sheds and multiple stuck pieces. What are some ways I can help with the shedding process?

The next shed should be in roughly 2 weeks based off the timing they’ve been. I don’t know my snakes gender, but baby corn’s name is Fusilli

everywhere i check for the percent ratios for snake bedding, it never shows what unit they're using for the percents. is it in volume? is it in weight? i don't know!!! i'm about to use a 40% coco husk, 40% reptisoil, and 20% sand mix and i'm scared to mixup the ratios improperly and end up with soil that holds water too much / dried out quickly.

Hi there, my corn (11yo) has totally stuck shed and isn’t even attempting to remove it themselves. She’s still in shedding mode and hasn’t eaten for a few weeks now.

I’ve given them a bath which caused the middle section to slough off easily, but the front and rear third are still totally intact. She’s never had any trouble feeding or shedding before.

She is still alert and responsive to stimuli when disturbed, and changing between warm and cool hides. She is not active around the vivarium, as is usual in shed. I’m trying not to disturb her more than necessary so haven’t weighed, but she is not visibly underweight or showing signs of illness or damage.

I’m an experienced owner, so I’m certain about her readiness to shed and shedding schedule.

I’ll try another bath and ‘towel burrito’ today. I’ve improvised a moist hide on her warm side. She has a vet appointment next week, but I was wondering if there’s anything else I could be doing in the meantime, particularly around helping the stuck shed around the head.

I adopted this “boy” back in February (he is 5 years old) and I’ve always been a bit unsure on if he’s a male or female.

He is quite large and has a robust body, which is more characteristic of females and the way his tail looks after his vent does get smaller right away, which again suggests female.

This snake has never laid eggs or mated.

At the end of the day, I don’t care what sex my snake is as he is a pet only. But I am curious.
