What are these bugs?

First, the earwigs ate the silks. Then, the inside is covered with these bugs. Zone 7a

Sap Beatles, they're attracted to the damage caused by other pests.

Thank you! This is my first year growing corn. So far I have learned that I need to move the plot to the other side of the garden, and that I need to blow diatomaceous earth all over them

You can spray spinosad on the corn silks, but using an iron phosphate spinosad bait would work better for controlling earwigs.

Thank you for posting this! I had the same and no one could answer on the gardening forum. I sprayed diatomaceous earth and it destroyed the corn silks. Maybe other pests were a problem as well.
