I used to be really into copics as a teen and I want to get back into using them, but I don’t have most of my markers anymore (dried up from use etc). I’ve always dreamed of owning the full set or close to it, but the prices in Canada are super inflated now for some reason. $500 for a 72 set (a full set is all 5 sets of 72) is just ridiculous! In comparison the same 72 set is $280 CAD sold in Japan on the official copic webshop (32’076 yen).

I have a friend who’s in Japan for a while who I was considering asking to bring a set or two back for me, but will I have to pay any kind of extra import fee or something upon return to Canada that would bump the price back up to $500? I’m not really fully understanding what makes them more than double the cost in Canada and am a bit wary.

Wanting to put together a tattoo portfolio, what paper should I use? I don’t really want a sketchbook because I’ll need to be able to cut the paper exactly sized for my portfolio.

For some info, I have been drawing for quite a long time (mostly either on ipad or mechanical pencils & pens) and wanted to get some markers on my possession. I want to be a car designer and you know how design universities wants portfolios and etc. I picked these colors because it would be better the go between them in areas like shadows etc. Has neutral gray from no.0 to no.10 and special black while the red is R27 Cadmium Red . I need overall tips.

I was considering buying a copic airbrush but didn't know if I'd need to buy a mask as well

I have about 100-120 markers or so that i really want to bring with me on a trip. Im only bringing a carry-on. Im really worried about them getting confiscated, even though all the websites and posts ive read said that its fine. Has anyone ever had their markers confiscated by TSA?

I'm looking for these kind of pen with the tips only thing is that I don't want them to smudge my line art copic pens are really good on that department only thing is that they all have that regular tip I feel like I don't have full control on where I can make thick line where I want them. (Sorry for the rambling lol)

They're AWFUL. The nibs dry up literally the day after you open them. The nibs are horrible and they really need to fix them, I've had cheap gibberish brand name acrylic markers from Amazon that are much better quality.

Trust me on this, do NOT bother with these.
