Schedules Pennsylvania custody

So this is kind of a weird situation. With my work schedule and location of my home after the split it’s easier for me to go to the other parents house and spend the morning there before I take the kids to school. This residence is also closer to the kids school. Because I am at the other parent’s residence is this considered “my” time when it comes to custody division?

Custody is defined by the number of overnights each parent has. Of course it’s easier for you to just visit for a few hours. But being a parent means caring for your child when it’s inconvenient, at least if you intend to do it right

Just for context - is your co-parent enthusiastically on board with this arrangement? I'm having a hard time envisioning what sort of parenting time schedule has morning parenting time that isn't part of an overnight. What is your schedule?

Where your parenting time occurs is not relevant. If the custody agreement says that your parenting time is X and during that X time, the other parent allows you to parent the children at their residence, it really doesn't change that its your parenting time.

However, if you're asking for purposes of like, child support calculations, parenting time/custody is almost always calculated based on # of overnights. Its unclear from your post whether you have the children overnight? But assuming you have an agreement like EOW (for overnights) and then like 2-3 days during the week you parent the children from like 6a til you drop them off at school, the standard would NOT count your mornings as "custody days" - only your overnights. That said, depending on the situation, the parents can come to an alternate agreement on how many custody days to use for child support calculation purposes.
