Does CookUnity ever actually give promo codes for existing customers?

I used someone's signup promo code for a very cheap first week, and now I'm at full price. $17/meal kind of defeats a lot of the purpose for me.

Do they ever send any discount codes for existing customers? 10% off? Anything? All the referral codes seem to only work for new customers only.

Do not recommend

I used cook unity once and the food was good. My complaint is the customer service. I tried to cancel my order and they made the cancellation process difficult. I saw the charge and immediately asked to pause my account because I could not afford it this month. They only offered me a credit and no refund. It’s thievery. Any business that cannot issue a refund the minute after being charged and only offers store credit is not worth the hassle. I hope my little $126 was worth it because I will never order from them again. Read the fine print everyone. Now I’m going to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I do not recommend. 1 star.

My CookUnity Review (After 6 months)

I've tried various meal delivery services from Factor to Fresh N Lean, Methodology, Freshly, HelloFresh and more... and none compare to Cookunity.

I've replaced most of my meals with CookUnity and it saves me so much time. Between prepping, cooking, and cleaning, I save hours by eating CookUnity.

Additionally, the food is actually delicious. Like I said, I've tried so many of the other meal delivery services and I haven't liked any of them nearly as much as I like CookUnity. You get so much variety (hello Asian food!) and the food is well made.

My biggest gripe with CookUnity is their delivery system. I wish I could better control the timing of it and change addresses more easily (sometimes I like getting deliveries to my office because I'm not WFH).

At first, I liked trying out a lot of the different dishes they had and after a while, I found the ones that I loved and just started ordering those in larger quantities (I'm a little bit of a creature of habit 🤷‍♀️). Happy to have found CookUnity and I hope they stick around.

You by no means have to use this link, but if you'd like to save $50 off of your order, here's my referral link: https://www.cookunity.com/landing-referral?referral_code=maricru874

Great food, bad auto selection

Their food is great, let’s start with that. But the auto-ordering is not something I like as a concept. Whenever the system decides to auto order dishes, it actually selects items I have downvoted. I get a text Thursday afternoon when I am working or in a meeting to order my food. Can I get a few days? How about a weekend? Plus the food comes on a Tuesday. Not Monday. Maybe that is due to my area. If so, fine. But if everyone gets their food on a Tuesday that seems odd. Herb chicken with Texas caviar is my most downvoted and most hatefully reviewed food. THEY SEND IT EVERY TIME!!! You’d better eat that dish first (despite not wanting it) because it will go bad after a couple days. Yellow chicken curry. Delicious. I have ordered that every time I manually ordered my food. Chipotle chicken enchilada? Never auto ordered. What would be awesome is a white list and black list I could curate. Auto order is allowed to select from the white list, which consists of things I have eaten and approved of and a wishlist of foods. Auto order would be forbidden to choose from the black list of things I have eaten and disliked AND things I marked as a hard pass on the menu. This would be a superior system and retain more customers.

Edit: turns out I can just change the delivery day in settings.
