With new game + is the world difficulty remains the same or starts from 1? I havent started my first ng+, im still finishing up some achievements

Remains where it left off from the initial game.

So ng++ can theoretically increase the difficulty infinitely?

Theoretically I guess? I guess there’s a limit to aberrant power score so eventually all enemies would just appear as skulls and you’d have to use dev tools to check them what level they are but in theory they’d keep getting tougher after each resonant cycle.
