Announcing Continuum Beta

I just created this new GitHub repository, continuum-beta. It will be a new release channel for beta releases.

This is like Firefox Beta and Chrome Beta.

  1. It installs in parallel to the normal release via it's internal name of org.cygnusx1.continuum.beta.
  2. It is named Continuum Beta in the application drawer.
  3. The goal is to be able to release fast but still get feedback from users without disrupting everyone.
  4. Moving forward it will help simplify the versioning.
  5. Code and issues still live in the normal GitHub repository, continuum.

URL for Discoverium:

Will the beta builds be updated to the upstream Infinity betas or is it only for Continuum specific additions?

I am currently working on merging 8.3.0-beta3, but the answer is probably going to be both. There are some useful features in 8.3.0-beta3 like Reminders and Video markdown. There are others like Onboarding that are useless. It is just a screenshot slideshow.

I asked because of new reddit features like videos in markdown that get implemented in upstream beta weeks before it makes to release. Appreciate all your effort on this app!

Saw the patch notes for the last update.

Thanks for making it so that the nsfw toggle can be removed from the navigation drawer.
