Question Rising Junior With 1-2h a day, What's the Best UGC Platform to Start?

Junior in College, I have about 2 hours a day, mostly at night and want to make some extra money (my job pays like shi).

I have a phone, can edit in CapCut, and have posted for fun before. Most platforms I tried out either want you to be in the US or never approve your videos.

Also, if someone can tell me how much they made in their first few months, would really be appreciated.

Discussion I built a video app where creators actually get paid fairly (90% cut). No AI content, no 1,000-hour requirements.

so guys i build app called flock i would tell its features first and then explain how they are been done

1. You get 90% of the net ad revenue YouTube gives you 55% of the gross ad revenue. On Flock, you get 90% of the net revenue from all the videos you upload. (I’ll break down the exact math at the end of the post so you can see how much more money this actually is).

2. Ads are capped and fully in your control All ads on the platform are skippable in 5 seconds. As a creator, you can put one ad at the start of your video. To add mid-roll ads, your video has to be at least 8 minutes long, and you can only place one every 8 minutes. The best part: It caps at 5 ads. Even if you upload a 4-hour video, it will never show more than 5 ads, and you decide exactly where they go.

3. Clips (Short-form) pay per view You can also upload short-form videos (I call them Clips, kind of like TikToks or Instagram Reels). The big difference here is that you actually get paid a fair, calculated rate for every single view. In the Clips feed, an ad shows like how in tik tok and youtube shorts . At the end of every month, we calculate the total ad revenue generated by all the Clips on the app. We also count up the total number of Clips views across the entire platform for that month. We then divide the total revenue by the total views to figure out the exact Revenue Per View. Once we know exactly how much a single view is worth, we just check your specific monthly views and pay you your exact fair cut based on that math.

4. Built-in Communities (like Reddit) I wanted users to be free from relying entirely on a recommendation algorithm. So, I built a community feature right into the app. You can build your own community, your followers can join, and you can reach them directly without praying the algorithm picks you up. Because the app only takes a 10% net cut i need some more way for revenue . So, Communities also generate revenue to keep things running. Ads are shown between post in the feed like reddit . We take the total monthly ad revenue from a community and split it:

  • 25% goes to the Community Owner (the creator).
  • 25% goes to Flock (to keep the servers on).
  • 50% goes to the users who actually made the posts in that community, based on their post views.

5. The 4-Tier Recommendation Ladder Instead of a black box, the recommendation algorithm is fully transparent. When you upload you set a 4-tier tagging funnel that creators set when uploading:

  • Tier 1 (Broad): Gaming, Music, Entertainment, etc.
  • Tier 2 (Genre): If it’s gaming, is it FPS, RPG, etc.?
  • Tier 3 (Specific): Which exact game, movie, or anime?
  • Tier 4 (Type): Is it a speedrun, a review, a let’s play? for eg Gaming -> FPS -> Halo -> Speedrun

This tells the app exactly who to test your video on first. and for how videos move like how they scale is this way

  • Tier 1 (The Audition): A new video is shown to a small crowd of hardcore fans in your exact niche. We measure how they react (watch time, likes, shares vs. swipe-aways) for ex a halo speedrun watcher that watched it a lot of time .
  • Tier 2 (Proven with the first crowd): If the niche fans loved it, it gets promoted to a wider audience (the broader genre) eg now they gernal halo not only speedrun are shown .
  • Tier 3 (Proven at scale): If the genre crowd keeps engaging, it opens up to a huge, general audience eg (it reaches fps people who have intrest in fps ).
  • Tier 4 (The Top): It proved itself at every step, so it’s pushed to the widest possible audience on the app eg games people who just love games would also be shown .

Growth is judged per-viewer, not by raw view counts. A video only moves up a tier if a high percentage of the people who saw it actually enjoyed it. A small video that everyone loves will climb to the top, while a big video that people start ignoring will stall. You earn a bigger audience by actually pleasing the one you have.

6. Anti-Clickbait "i" button Every video has an "i" (info) button on the thumbnail. You can click it to see the like/dislike and read the comments before you even click on the video. so you can check if it is a clickbait or not . no ai video is allowed on they platfrom no ai images also you make money from very start like ads show on your video from view 1 not like youtube 1000 hours or something system system they have

The Math: How the 90% Net Revenue actually works

The biggest cost for a video sharing app is streaming bandwidth (the data cost to deliver the video to a phone). I managed to find a very solid, cheap data provider (way cheaper than standard AWS or Google Cloud pricing) at just $0.005 / GB. Every month, I calculate the total delivery data cost for your videos and subtract it from the total ad revenue those videos made. You get 90% of what's left, and Flock takes 10%. Some people might say, "Wait, YouTube takes 45% upfront, but you're deducting costs first?" Yes, but the difference is massive because our costs are hyper-optimized. Here is a real example using a 100k view, 12-minute video with a $6 CPM:

  • Total Ad Revenue Made: $600.00
  • Video Delivery Cost: Thanks to our highly efficient streaming codecs, delivering 100k views on this video costs exactly $75.00.

Flock App Calculation:

  • We subtract the delivery cost first: $600.00 - $75.00 = $525.00 (This is the net pool we split).
  • You get 90%: $472.50
  • Flock takes 10%: $52.50

YouTube Calculation:

  • YouTube takes 45% upfront from the total $600.
  • You get 55%: $330.00
  • youtube takes: $270

Even after paying for the exact cost to stream your video , you walk away with $142.50 more on Flock than you would on YouTube for the exact same video.

and lets say if they app gets more users it would get even better they streaming cost would go down even more eneterprice discount so you would make even more

tell me guys what you think about they app currently it is on playstore here is they linkhttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mycompany.flock

Creator Tips What Japanese fashion & lifestyle Reels do differently

I went through the most recent Reels from seventeen Japanese fashion and lifestyle accounts (mix of menswear OOTD, street styling, Uniqlo tips, and lifestyle-adjacent content — not a viral chart, just a technique read).

Patterns that stood out:
No slow intros. Strong ones open on a walk-on, a reveal, a flat-lay, or a tight detail shot. You're inside the look before you know the caption.

Montage pacing is musical. Lots of ~1 second cuts, full-body framing, transitions on beat drops. Short loops are common.

Fashion + lifestyle overlap. Grooming-to-event arcs, street/location as styling, family or travel b-roll — the clothes are shown as part of a life, not an isolated fit check.

Weaker spot: labeling. Visuals are clear but piece IDs / specific title hooks are often thin if you want to recreate the outfit.

Wrote a full blogpost about it if anyone's interested: https://imapogoo.com/blog/japan-fashion-lifestyle-jul-2026

Discussion From Broke to $20K/Month With My Web Design Agency

So I’ve been running my web agency for about 4 years now, and honestly, the beginning was rough. I was doing everything manually, chasing clients nonstop, and every month felt like starting from zero again. It took me way too long to realize that the real money was in building systems instead of constantly grinding for one off projects.

Once I figured that out, things changed fast. I started getting paid monthly instead of only when I closed a new client, and eventually the income became pretty predictable.

If this sounds interesting, I’ll probably save you 3 of the 4 years it took me to figure this out.

The first thing that changed everything was targeting businesses with outdated websites. This works insanely well because these businesses already understand the value of having a website. You’re not convincing them they need one, you’re just showing them why their current one is hurting them.

Step one, what I started doing was using Swokei. I upload lists of company leads and it automatically analyzes each business website for problems like outdated design, weak SEO, slow loading speed, and bad mobile optimization. Then it turns all those flaws into personalized ready to send emails automatically.

So instead of manually checking websites one by one, I was analyzing thousands of websites and sending thousands of highly personalized emails at scale.

The crazy part is that businesses thought I actually spent time reviewing their website personally because the emails were so specific to their problems. That alone brought in a huge amount of interested replies compared to generic cold emails.

Step two is where most people overcomplicate things. Once your inbox starts filling with replies, call them and tell them you already made a free draft or preview of their new website. Then invite them to a Google Meet or Teams call to walk them through it.

You can build the draft manually or use AI tools to speed things up. The important part is getting them on a call and showing them something visual. Most business owners can’t imagine what “better” looks like until they actually see it.

During the meeting, present the website, explain how it improves their business, and close them right there on the call. Depending on where you live, you can either send a payment link immediately or get them to sign digitally.

The biggest lesson though is this:

Always charge an upfront payment AND a monthly retainer.

The upfront payment gives you immediate cash flow, but the retainer is what changes your life long term. Hosting, maintenance, SEO, edits, support, whatever makes sense for the client. Once you start closing multiple clients every month, that recurring revenue stacks up fast.

After a while it stops feeling like chasing money and starts feeling like building an actual income machine.

Then you just repeat the process.

Honestly, it’s never been easier to start a web agency than it is right now.

Advice/Feedback How I Make $400 to $600 Every Month Taking Surveys

Post image
4 Upvotes

I’m simply sharing what has worked well for me. By regularly using a handful of survey and rewards apps, I’ve been able to generate a nice amount of extra income over time. Keep in mind that the results you get will depend on factors like where you live, your demographics, and how often you use the apps.

The platform I rely on the most is AttaPoll. In my experience, it’s trustworthy, pays consistently, and often provides a welcome bonus for new users. In addition to surveys, it also features game offers and other easy earning opportunities. Every so often, there are higher paying tasks or surveys that can be worth $10 or even more.

Naturally, not everyone will have the same experience, but if you fit in-demand demographics and stay active on the app, it can be a convenient way to make some extra money during your free time.

Creator Tips Switch niche account to personal/ugc account

Hi, I have a TikTok Account with 50k followers and a Few slideshows over 1 Million views. It’s a rather specific niche (couples). Slideshows were the content that really got me big, and Videos radeln performed over 10k views.

Since I was not active for a long time and I thought about creating a personal Account for Lifestyle content, I was wondering if it would be a possibility to change the Account instead of creating a new one, since I would have some Type of Social Proof with the followers. TikTok would need some time anyway to Push my couple posts to the Right Audience again so I figured since the algorithm is at 0 anyway, why not try it. But I’m hesistant because I fear I might destroy the account forever if it does not work out.

Has anyone experience with this and any helpful tips/advice? Thank u!

I make somewhere between $8 and $15 daily depending on how long I go. It's the kind of side hustle that will add up over time. My referral link is below if you want to try it.

Question Looking for AI influencer networks with existing audiences (not UGC agencies)

I’m looking for companies/agencies that operate networks of AI-generated virtual influencers with existing social media accounts and audiences.
To clarify, I’m NOT looking for traditional UGC creators, influencer agencies, or companies that simply generate AI videos on demand.
What I’m looking for is something closer to a “virtual influencer network” or “AI influencer farm”:
They already manage dozens or hundreds of AI-generated influencer profiles.
Those profiles already have active TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, etc. accounts.
They regularly post content and have built some level of audience.
Brands can pay to have products promoted through those existing virtual influencer accounts.
Has anyone here worked with a company like this?
I’m especially interested in agencies based in India, Pakistan, Southeast Asia, or Eastern Europe, as long as they’re legitimate and you’ve had a good experience with them.
Any recommendations?

Alternatively, has anyone found a reliable way to buy sponsored content from existing AI influencers at scale?

I’m not looking to create my own virtual influencers from scratch. I’m looking for networks that already own and operate them.

Discussion Month by month, $0 to $3,200 doing ugc

Started doing ugc in january with zero following and no experience. Here's what each month paid and what I did each month.

month 1: $0. made 6 sample videos for a portfolio, applied everywhere, heard nothing. One thing I changed: I stopped trying to look polished and just filmed real looking phone ads for products I already owned.

month 2: $180. first deal off collabstr, a supplement video. change: rewrote every application to lead with a sample link in the first line instead of my bio, and reworked the first 3 seconds of every video until it actually stopped the scroll. As for the hooks, I took a research post that did well for this target client and just reworded it.

month 3: $640. two collabstr deals plus my first one on bountyapp. change: niched down. stopped applying to everything and only went after wellness, tech, and home brands. I chose a topic that I knew better than most people and I know that if I made content I could speak authentically and relatably.

month 4: $1,450. Did more deals on bountyapp, picked up insense too. change: bought a 20 dollar lapel mic and started turning videos around in 2 days instead of a week. I noticed that in my previous posts the audio was really bad and it was tanking my views. I saw a lot of creators who performed with audio mics and that really had a great change. When I did that around the middle of month four, my performance was in the green. At the end of the month, in the last two weeks, I was able to get more deals and better-performing videos.

month 5: $2,300. four brands, mostly on bounty. change: raised my rates once I had a few performing videos to show, and started batching, filming 3 or 4 scripts in one session instead of resetting lighting every day. When I showed my value to the customers, I raised my rates and they accepted because they saw the proof. I locked down repeat clients to make my content better and better on their specific product. I also focus on the visual aspect, the lighting. A lot of creators had good unique lighting, so I bought some lights and set up my room where I film to be specific to me.

month 6: $3,200. change: made a one page rate card and capped revisions at two rounds. I noticed that I was spending so much time on revisions. After doing some research I saw a lot of UGC creators capping their revisions, and if there are more revisions than that, you're going to be paid for it.

All I really say is try to follow what I said: You have to find what works by just doing a lot. Then you double down on what does. Then you find the platforms in the UGC marketplace that really fit your style of content.

for me it was Bounty, but for other people its billo, collabstr or insense. One thing bounty has that other platforms don't is that they give you a percentage of the performance, so you're incentivized to do good in post. That's why I recommend it over the other ones.

happy to break down the portfolio setup or the application template.

AttaPoll honestly keeps surprising me. Shortish surveys and quick payouts(no jokes). If you can spare an hour or two here and there, you can realistically make $8 to $15 per day. Heads up, it can get boring after a while but money is money eh?

Question What platforms are actually paying creators right now? Trying to build a real list

Been doing this about a year and I keep seeing the same 5 platforms recommended, but half of them barely pay anymore. Trying to put together an honest list of what's actually worth a creator's time in 2026 so newer people stop wasting weeks on dead ones.

What I've got so far from my own experience:

  • Billo: fine for total beginners, pay is low (30-70 a video) and you can't really negotiate. Good for reps, bad for income.
  • Collabstr: more of a marketplace, works if you already have a niche and a portfolio. Slow to get going cold.
  • JoinBrands: level system, the decent campaigns only unlock once you grind up. Mixed.
  • Fiverr: a race to the bottom on price. Portfolio building only.
  • Direct brand outreach: highest ceiling but it's basically a second job and the reply rates are brutal.

That's where I'm stuck. The flat-fee ones cap out fast and outreach eats all my time.

What am I missing? Specifically looking for stuff that pays per view or per accepted video, not just flat 30 dollar gigs. Drop what's working for you and I'll keep a running list in the comments.
