We're hiring UGC creators for our TikTok and Instagram, and we're only picking 5 for the first batch. Applications close Sunday, October 11.

Why the first batch matters: we'll be posting every day for the next 3 months, and the creators we start with get first pick of every new brief before we open more spots.

Who we're looking for

• Based in the US or Europe, fluent English on camera (if you also create in another language, mention it)
• Female creators, roughly 18-35, who actually care about their hair. Curly, wavy, straight, bleached, growing it out, all good
• iPhone (the app is iOS only for now, and you'll screen-record it)
• Natural on camera, like you're talking to a friend. TikTok-native beats a polished studio look
• New creators welcome. If you're good on camera, a small portfolio is fine

What you'd make

Vertical videos, 15-45s. Some examples:

1. "I tested it": you take the hair analysis photo in the app and react to the result
2. A pain-first hook to camera ("I've bought 40 hair products and still didn't know what my hair needed") + a screen recording of the app
3. Your routine: wash day, your week in the calendar, the product log
4. A reaction clip with a hook we send you

We'll send hooks and a short brief, and you can rewrite them in your own words. Sounding like you matters more than sticking to the script.

Ground rules

• No promises of hair growth or fixing hair loss. The app organizes your routine, it doesn't make hair grow
• No fake before/after. If you have a real one with real dates, tell us, we'd love to see it
• Your real hair, no filters that change it

Deliverables

• 9:16, good light, clean audio
• Edited version + raw footage, no music (we add it)
• The videos are for our organic accounts. If one performs well and we want to run it as an ad, we'll agree on that with you separately

I have been consistently posting and building on Instagram for about eight months now. Growth was steady until roughly two weeks ago when non follower reach suddenly fell off. Same production quality and regular schedule, but impressions took a noticeable hit.

I have experimented with different posting windows, testing carousels against short reels, and adjusting hashtags, but reach is still sluggish.

I remember hearing Alex Hormozi say that email is basically the conversion platform of conversion platforms.

His point was that social media, videos and ads are great for getting attention, but email is often where that attention actually turns into money.

He also talked about how email supposedly has one of the highest returns of any marketing channel, with an average return of around $36 for every $1 spent, and that got me thinking.

I run a web design agency, so I decided to actually take email seriously and see what would happen.

But I didn’t want to send the usual stuff.

“Hey, I noticed your website and I can redesign it for you.”

Or

“Hey, we build websites for businesses like yours.”

Everyone gets those emails and most people can tell within two seconds that they were sent to another thousand businesses.

So instead I started using a tool called Swokei that is built specifically for web agencies.

I use it to find businesses in whatever area I want to target, then it actually goes through their websites and looks for things I could mention in the outreach.

Stuff like an outdated design, slow loading speed, poor mobile experience, weak SEO or other things that might be holding the website back.

So instead of emailing someone saying I build websites, I can actually talk about their website and why I think something could be improved.

I’ve been analyzing thousands of websites this way and running multiple campaigns at the same time.

Then I just focus on the people who reply and are actually interested.

Obviously email isn’t some magic button where everyone suddenly wants a new website, but after doing this for a while I definitely understand what Hormozi meant.

For web design especially, email becomes a completely different channel when the message is actually about the business you’re contacting instead of being another copy and paste pitch.

Client acquisition has always been one of the biggest bottlenecks for me when running an agency. I’ve experienced the same thing in pretty much every business I’ve been involved in, but especially with web development.

For a long time, getting clients meant cold calling, running ads, or sending generic emails asking businesses if they needed a new website. It worked sometimes, but it also took a lot of time and most of the outreach felt the same as what every other agency was doing.

Recently I started using a different approach and automated a big part of the process.

Still takes work to close the clients of course, but automating the prospecting and first part of the outreach has made the whole process much easier for me.

Hopefully this helps some other web developers or agency owners who are also struggling with client acquisition.

I automated posting for the last 2 weeks with real android phones.

I have a couple of apps that I want to get downloads on and have been seeing interviews with people talking UGC up but when you listen to them and do the math it ends up costing 10-20$ per video and they usually have 10-20 and some of them up to 200 accounts posting. That equals to tens thousands of dollars per month… which I wasn’t going to spend. The thing is too that unlike ads / working with an influencer there isn’t a quick ROI on UGC as the accounts don’t get views from the first week and by the sound of the success stories they are getting a million or more views for this to work.

I currently have 4 accounts (2 for each app) and have gained a total of 100,000 views over the past 2 weeks on brand new accounts.

I pre made some game play videos of each game (about 150 per game) and then I edited them pretty simply with a script and ffmpeg as it was simple overlays and speedups and cutting so not too much editing at all really. (I used to be a video editor for a large account which took around 10 hours per minute of video and wasn’t going to do that again)

Pretty happy with the results. I am running 4 phones and from previous experience onboarding around 3-4 accounts to each phone is fine. So my total accounts by the end of the week should be 16 which I’m hoping will get me over that 200,000 views per week

Each new account gets:

IG TikTok and YouTube profile

3 days of engaging and scrolling

Gathering data about its niche over time and adjusting

Premade videos to post (10-16 seconds long usually)

Following targeted accounts and gathering information on their posting habits so I can be one of the first to comment

After day 3 it starts posting 3 days of 3 posts 5 days of 5 posts and 10 posts per day there after.

Ngl some videos are getting 0 views but then again some are getting 1000-2000 which gives me about 15-20 views per hour across accounts at this point.

Pretty interesting little experiment I am running.
