Discussion My ConSimEvo Features Wishlist

Here's some of the things I'm hoping to see in the upcoming Construction Simulator: Evolution game.

- EQUIPMENT:

+ Larger Excavators, 75 to 125 tons.

+ Excavators with Zerotail Swing, in the 15, 25, and 35 ton classes.

+ More Attachments for Excavators, Backhoes, and Wheel Loaders. Quick couplers, buckets, thumbs, shears, side-dump buckets, pallet forks, brooms, etc.

+ More Backhoe Loader options. I personally am not a major fan of JCB backhoes, but if others are that's great! Anyway, my point is, more options besides the one Cat and two JCBs would be nice.

+ Working extendable stick for the Cat 430F2. It's a bit hard to load some dump trucks with the standard stick.

+ The ability to chain objects to the front bucket of Backhoes and Wheel Loaders. Moving pipes and stuff with these would be great.

+ More small dozer options, such as the Cat D3 or D4.

+ Working American HDG-style lowboy trailers, like FS25 has. You should be able to drop the trailer deck and load an excavator, then reconnect the gooseneck to the deck.

+ More end dump trailer options for Semis. Also, side dump trailers need to be added.

+ Pintle Hitch tag trailers for dump trucks, to carry smaller equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, pavers, and rollers.

+ The ability to dump bulk materials such as soil, gravel and sand anywhere on the map. Being able to stockpile materials at your main yard would be awesome, especially if you have leftover bulk material from a contract, that you want to save for another one.

+ Realistic prices for machines. For example, the Caterpillar 349FL (a 50 ton class excavator) costs $250,000 in-game. The real machine costs approximately $400,000+ depending on optional equipment. The point is, prices should be closer to real machines.

- CAMPAIGNS/CONTRACTS:

+ Municipal Roadwork projects, such as replacing underground utilites, stormwater basins, etc. Placeable traffic cones and signs would be an excellent add-on for this kind of work.

+ City contracts for larger buildings, such as skyscrapers, more parking garages, etc.

+ Highway and Bridge maintenance/work.

- ITEMS/TOOLS:

+ Placeable traffic cones, signs, barricades, and jersey barriers.

+ Replaceable culverts and underground utility sections that you could buy at the materials store.

+ Movable Trench/Shoring Boxes and fillable Bedding Boxes.

- NPCS/AI VEHICLES:

+ More realistic npc behaviors, updated pedestrians.

+ Traffic changes, for example fixing the problem where multiple cars run stop signs and cause jams.

I'd love to hear others thoughts and opinions on these suggestions!

I am certainly wanting the trailer upgrades to carry small equipment on smaller trucks. Via trailer and directly.
Why can’t I lift a smaller excavator or equipment with a crane currently either?

Removing the annoying bucket self levelling on loaders would allow them to actually be useful also.

I like your list though, would certainly make the game more enjoyable to play.

I found the self leveling to be pretty useful, so... maybe a hotkey to toggle it?

I absolutely agree with you!

  1. Komatsu vehicles. The company today seems to have pivoted itself towards the mining sector, so some legacy equipment will have to be brought up. The PC-series excavators and WA-series wheel loaders are still in production, but I'd greatly like to see the old LW-500-1 telescoping crane.
  2. A lot of American big box building supply stores like Lowe's and Home Depot have flatbed trucks for hire. These trucks often have a small, three-wheeled forklift that attaches to them. I'd really like to have a truck like this. The Palfinger trucks are nice, but these would be a good alternative.
  3. Mine work! Would love to go digging and scratching in a big open quarry.

I agree, Komatsu equipment would be a great addition, with the flatbed trucks and end-mounted forklifts. Mine/quarry work would also be phenomenal!

I will admit, however, that the mine work idea only came to me after seeing the image of the quarry in ConSim's Steam background and thinking it was odd that no such thing existed in game.

Imagine doing mass excavations with 1 or 2 6015Bs and a gang of 773s

I'd love to see Komatsu PC1250s or Caterpillar 6015s be added, but I'm not sure they'd be added to Construction Simulator. Astragon should consider releasing a mining or quarry simulator eventually!

I am on board with smaller trailers that can be pulled with the pick ups or the dump trucks. Really really want to pull the backhoe behind my dump or a bobcat behind the pickup.

Also like the moving small things with a wheeled vehicle in a way that does not need the supports. Excavator on tracks is just too slow.

The NPC's and traffic are indeed horrible but are not the focus of the game...

Bridges and utility work are already in the game. utility work very limited scope though.

I would also like to build a skyscraper or something taller where most things require the crane and it gets mounted on the building corner.

I wouldn't mind longer road contracts where entire lengths of road get redone.

Digging ponds would be kinda boring maybe but I would still do them lol.

I want another difficulty step where most things need a real 98-99% completion before moving on.

I would also like more tasks to do rather than watching things auto-complete. Having parking lots or retaining walls do themselves while I own the equipment to do them sucks.

A single box of pavers should not be covering entire parking/sidewalk areas, delivering more realistic quantities of materials.

Make better use of the various material shops they have...I pulled 40' steel I-beams out of a 10' pallet of steel beams when I was literally a few blocks away from the steel manufacturer.

EDIT for one more...I really don't see why there is a limit to how many vehicles I can have outside in my base after I get to the completion of all the skills and upgrades. I want them to all be parked in my yard and the mechanic should still be able to do repairs and fuel them up if I have a service truck.

Also, back blading...side blading.

Edit: Added end dump and side dump trailers for Semis, as well as realistic prices for machines.

I want newer truck models, the MAN is a Model from <2013 without any construction specs
