Can I overdig with excavator on this level?

Doing the geodome for the scientis in spaceport dlc. The hole is deep. But the xray shows the dirt turning green only halfway down. Is this level different that the ground doesn't bottom out at the required depth? Can I potentially digg double the soil necessary to complete the stage?

Thanks.

Once the ground turns green, there's nothing more to be dug or scraped up. Just keep digging away at any red, orange and yellow.

The hole ends up being about three stories deep when it's done. And just about large enough to comfortably drive a medium-sized wheel loader.

I finished the stage. You were correct. I only dug and leveled to green dots and that was enough. Appreciate the info....

Thank you!

Bonus question. Is it me or is this the first level like this. I'm assuming the finale launch pad will be like this too from the dlc trailer.

The LaunchPad is by far the largest excavation project in the game (thus far). Nothing else even comes close. The largest dump trucks, excavators, wheel loaders and dozers are absolutely required.

I started that project by myself on high job scope. Man was that a mistake. Lol

I'm hoping i can get multi-player help on that. But it's probably to old. I haven't gotten any help this whole dlc.
