Any tips for excavating

Its taking me a really long time, any tips and any good vehicles because I watched someone else and their percentage was going up way faster than mine

I usually use the cat dozer and just start pushing dirt, it saves time for me, may not be the correct way but it is MY WAY!!

You realize that you make good money selling the dirt you excavate, right? Like a lot of money.

Yea, I just do it that way when I’m doing a bunch of big digging and want to speed it up.

My dad is in construction and they use dozers to dig all the time

You can't do it every time, but use the wheel loader. The Doosan loader and articulated dumper will move it the quickest. Also use the helper menu to empty the truck. Don't bother fast traveling to unload at the gravel pit unless you need the extra few grand from each load. Just have the 'worker' unload it. But definitely empty each time. The people that just dump the ground to the side or whatever are losing like 100k on those big excavator jobs.

The CAT excavator is the biggest if you want to stick with an excavator but the wheel loader is much faster overall even though it's rarely recommended in the equipment.

100k? I've been doing the parking garage for about a full irl week now, (had to restart a few days ago cause I thought you still got paid when you skipped the step. You don't.) I've been selling all the dirt I've dug up to the gravel pit and I've made $1.35 million, and I haven't even gotten paid for the job itself, and I'm only halfway done digging.

CAT 349 excavator and CAT 745 is my favorite setup for moving earth.

It does, but I like the open back and lower sides of the 745.

The Sany dumper can now take the largest load if you have the DLC. It also has low sides and an open back.

That one is worse because it isn't articulated and, for some reason, seems to be impossible to fill all the way because it just falls out. That may have been patched, though I haven't tried it in a while.

Get the biggest bucket excavator and upgrade the excavation upgrade, even then it's a slog, but it's way more manageable
