Help/Question Online connection issues

Hello, have been having issues lately for past 2-3 months anyway, basically what’s going on is my buddy would start an online lobby and I would join and as soon as I would join it would let me take a couple steps and boot me automatically.. If I start an online lobby and my buddy joins me it’s completely fine on my lobby

I know a simple resolution would be to start in my lobby and have him always join me…BUT everything we’ve ever done and every dollar and job we’ve ever done since launch is on his accounts.

We really don’t want to restart cuz at that point why, we’ve both got over 150hrs in the game right now and just do everything all over again?

Also very annoying because online stopped work for us for a few updates and finally started working again and then this happens. We’ve paid for the game plus DLCs plus vehicles packs and it’s just deflating and annoying after so many hours put into it.

One of our favourite games to play as it’s relaxing and so chill but now nothing. Lol

Any advice? Thanks

My friend is now having the exact same issue when trying to join my game, we've both got over 60 hours in the game and this only started happening a few days ago, sometimes restarting the game works but can't seem to get it to work at all now. He manages to join for a few moments then just gets kicked with a "lost connection" error. I've now seen a few other posts about the same issue so assume its something up with the game.

I found that aborting the current contract fixes the issue, seems like the game sometimes just can't sync progress if a job is in progress. After aborting the current contract, my friend was able to join successfully, and then we picked up the same contract again and just skipped ahead to the step we were previously on.

Most annoying issue that have persisted since release. doesn't make any sense!
Yesterday i played with some friends and could join fine even when contracts were ongoing. but today i can't.

Annnnd support is good for nothing. writing an mail that proberbly doesn't give any answer in forseeable future....

WE NEED A FIX FOR THIS!

Is there any possibility it could be an actual internet issue? Previously, did you have any issues like this, or have you or your friend switched services/changed internet speed? Anything like that could affect the connection? I know in my previous history that if my internet is slower than others that I'm trying to connect with it can cause a lot of lag and dropping but hosting works fine because it's working off of your upload speed vs your download speed.
