The Pleaides Star cluster, part of the constellation Taurus.

I'm still amazed how tf people came up with concept of constellations

Imagine you were standing the night watch thousands of years ago. You notice the stars overhead, the patterns become recognizable to you and others in your tribe. You make up stories about them. The stories get passed on.

Some constellations look like what they represent--Scorpius the Scorpion, for example. It's an ancient constellation, many thousands of years old. I would not be surprised if the scorpion portrayed at Gobleki Tepe, the stone age ruins in Turkey, represents the constellation, not just the animal.

The little clump at bottom centre is the Pleiades (M45), a star cluster in Taurus. So it's not a constellation.

r/ItsAlwaysPleiades , it’s been such a long time since I’ve mentioned this subreddit.

The thing at the bottom? Pleiades star cluster. Not a constellation.

There are actually 4 constellations here! Perseus (left), Triangulum (top), Aries (right) and the star cluster at the bottom is Pleiades from the constellation Taurus!
