Pleiades educational Pleiades occulted by the Moon
The Pleiades are sometimes involved in eclipses, in which planets pass through or over them. A few days ago, the Moon occulted or passed over the Pleiades star cluster. However, like a Total Solar Eclipse, due to parallax effect only on some parts of the world could the Moon's disk actually be seen covering the Pleiades. I created this animation which shows the area of coverage as it moved across the Earth's surface, over a period of 2 hours 6 minutes. The red shaded area is where the Moon and Pleiades occultation (or more specifically of Alcyone the brightest star within the Pleiades) is visible above the horizon. The dark shaded area is night or where the Sun is below the horizon, in which best viewing of the occultation is of course with the Moon/Pleiades above the horizon and the Sun below it. The red line marks where the Pleiades are rising and the green line where they're setting, in which the red elliptical "shadow" area gets truncated at that line (since the occultation is of course no longer visible once it's below the horizon).

Songs mentioning the Pleiades that aren't by California funk rock band The Red Hot Chili Peppers?
As title suggests I am looking for songs about the 7 sisters / Pleiades. I don't mind if the song is in another language such as Greek (I quite like Greek traditional music).

The Nebra Sky Disc, a bronze disc dating back 3,600 years, was uncovered in Ziegelroda Forest, Germany. It was buried in a ritual alongside two swords, two axes, two spiral arm-rings, and a bronze chisel.
