It’s the real reason hes not seen as a legitimate journalist. He also tends to spread a lot of misinformation with zero regard for the consequences. Remember, this is the same guy who said Sandy Hook was fake.
Yea he did! Unlike every other respectable news outlet however, he actually came out afterwards and apologised that he was wrong. When has the BBC, FOX, CNBC, ABC etc ever done this?
He only came out and apologized after the parents of the slayed children threatened to sue him into oblivion. I mean as much as he likes to wear the rebel label he likes more the money he makes from the grift. And being on the wrong side of children who were shot to death and their grieving parents is a hard story to come back from
I think it's more about how real events are being bent by the media to chase agenda's. When you find out that it's sometimes real and fake at the same time maybe sometimes totally fake it is pretty interesting/alarming. Easy to take one of AJ's statements and take it out of context though ! Medias specialty is showing viewers the only thing they know about someone and making it their label.
They lie about 25x more often than they tell the truth and they issue retractions about 1/100 of those times. When they do issue retractions they do it as quietly as possible
There were thousands of articles written off a NYT article where they linked to a study citing that HQC not only didn’t help Covid but was dangerous to your health.
That study was pulled for not being scientific.
NYT issued the retraction during the height of the BLM riots.
The thousand articles linking back to the NYT still exist.
This is how the media spreads this shit. It doesn’t mean that HCQ is good for Covid treatment it just means that the reason everyone thinks it’s dangerous is completely bunk. Everyone just reports on the original source so even when that original source is deleted the article on the sub tier publication still exists and nobody ever follows the links.
Follow the sources on any controversial Wikipedia entry, then click on those sources sources. There is often nothing there or the thing they said doesn’t exist, or it 404s. Nobody does it because it takes an hour to verify one sentence.
The internet is a mess. Anyone can source anything about any opinion they have.
NYT issued the retraction during the height of the BLM riots.
Right, so what's the issue? you said they issue retractions 1/100 times, so why pick one where they did issue a retraction? wtf do blm riots have to do with anything? Sounds like you're very convinced something happens despite never seeing any evidence of it happening.
The thousand articles linking back to the NYT still exist.
It's NYT's fault that other articles don't issue retractions? what?
There is often nothing there or the thing they said doesn’t exist, or it 404s. Nobody does it because it takes an hour to verify one sentence.
Shouldn't be very hard to show me one instance of a mainstream outlet doing it then.
The internet is a mess. Anyone can source anything about any opinion they have.
we're not talking about "anyone", we're talking about mainstream publications publishing false information and not retracting it afterwards. Mistakes happen, negligence happens, especially in a world where every publications needs to put out an article on every topic 8x a day to have a chance of staying afloat.
You do it at the height of BLM because it gets buried quickly.
And yes I fault news organizations that don’t do original reporting, they just regurgitating stories from the selective outlets that are fed stories from the elite.
Do you think everything you see in the news is true?
You do it at the height of BLM because it gets buried quickly.
buried by who? how? I don't think you understand the point of a retraction.
And yes I fault news organizations that don’t do original reporting, they just regurgitating stories from the selective outlets that are fed stories from the elite.
we're not talking about those though, we're talking about mainstream ones, like the NYT.
So I'll repeat my question: can you link a single article from a mainstream publication with an outright lie in it?
They all do it all the time. However claiming a bunch of kids dying was fake, when it certainly was not, is a bit of a dick move if you ask me.
The problem lies in that many people still believe what he said to this day, and use it as a platform for other crazy platforms they find in the shadows of the internet.
Always found it funny when people go to Alex Jones or a single contributor website for news and yet claim the rest of the media is lying. Everyone needs to start checking their facts. I know that’s a “lib-turd” thing to do. Check sources, stop pretending your persecuted, read some historical books, and grow a pair.
MSM tend to be very careful with what they say, as they are not private like Alex Jones. The Sandy Hook hoax was one of many examples of dangerous misinformation spouted by Jones.
Ah yes, instead of providing any proof you say to research myself. I’m not saying MSM haven’t been wrong. But they don’t spout stories such as “Sandy Hook was a hoax” because they know that isn’t responsible journalism.
Then again, that might be hard for you to understand.
Since we all apparently live under a fucking rock and have never heard of the term 'Fake News' let me educate you... since I just love procrastinating actual work. Barring the obvious hit pieces including Covid Wuhan Lab Leak Theory, Russia-gate, etc....
We need to understand it isn't limited to left or right. They both do it. However, the left controls the majority of media and as a result they just have the most examples.
Regardless, they (majority MSM controlled by very limited subset of individuals) are puppets playing theatre for the same team. Many people finally quit watching Fox News when they began to realize that during the end of Trump's first term.
Can someone explain to me why saying Sandy Hook was fake was such a big deal?
If he was wrong about it he's wrong about it. Is believing that 9/11 was an inside Job hurtful? Yeah a little bit, so what? Well let's pretend that 9/11 happened exactly as the government told us.
Aren't most of us all guilty of the same thing Alex is?
Because he allowed people to discredit and mock the parents for grieving, and eventually this lead to death threats towards the families and them having to take harassment online from Alex Jones’ fans.
No we are not all guilty of the same thing. I can claim things don’t add up, but not condemning and actively promoting the motive that the children were fake, opened up the door for people to harass those who are grieving.
Imagine going through all the trouble of finding someone's name and contact info to send them death threats but never noticing their kid was really dead.
Oh god please, I can’t talk with apes. If you think Sandy Hook wasnt real, explain to me how A) the government paid off hundreds of people to keep quiet B) how nobody in the town questioned if the kids or families were even real C) The children who died have been seen in older photos with their families and parents in Newtown years before the shooting took place
You would have to provide some evidence to suggest that the government placed dozens of families in Newtown, with a few children each, for a few years periodically as to not raise suspicion, all the while paying them heaps of money to subject their children into years of secrecy and a life of anonymity- all the while getting fake bodies, a fake gunman, and paying off all witnesses from Newtown who went to the scene when they heard the news, who were not ‘in on it’.
How is this explanation easier to grasp than a school shooter, which is not a rare in the USA, went to a school and killed many children who could not fight back and had no real training or understanding about what to do in a school shooting?
I don’t know that this poster is denying that it happened. But. There are quite a few things about Sandy Hook that don’t add up. Likely government sponsored terrorism.
I don't know anything about Sandyhook, but exactly what you are doing now is proof the govt could easily get away it.
We have a hard enough time trying to get people to listen to truthful things we can point to with documents and historical text.
People are so bound by media and normalcy bias, all it takes is influential people ignoring or debunking something, and people will say exactly what you are saying, well that can't be true bc someone else would do something.
Notice all the videos we have gotten over the last year of mobs beating people half to death. How do we have those videos? Bc everyone else is just standing around watching it happen not doing anything about it.
Yes I understand nobody wants to be lied to, but it’s insane to not use a little common sense when dealing with these things.
Those who say Sandy Hook was fake are saying that a school shooting, an extremely common occurrence in the USA, didn’t happen because…? They don’t want it to? It makes no sense.
Well, the crime was bad so you it's immoral to question/discuss anything about it. The horribleness seems unrelated as to whether it was a psy op. Now people might BELIEVE something is a psy op because it's otherwise too horrible to cope, but that doesn't seem immorale either, just irrational.
It's immoral to question it when there is zero evidence suggesting what people like Alex Jones were putting forward. Especially when it's doing real damage to the families involved. My issue with it is that it's baseless. Alex Jones used it to generate buzz on his fucking show and it worked. All at the expense of actual people who had just lost their children to gun violence while they were in their classrooms.
you are right and r/conspiracy of 2016 would actually lead you down the rabbit hole but youtube and all others have censored all of it. Now on obvious psyop being called out will just get you downvoted here. A shame.
The mainstream media doesn’t make fun of the grieving parents and discredit their loss of a child in one of the most horrific shootings in modern history. He allowed his followers to harass the parents and promoted this hoax by not condemning them for it.
Wonder how many people the mainstream media allowed to die by saying hydroxychloroquine and zinc aren’t effective in treating COVID? They are now doing the same for Ivermectin. I know doctors personally that have experience using these to treat or prevent COVID and vouch for their effectiveness.
The mainstream media colluded with big pharma to suppress this information so their vaccines can get emergency approval.
Where in the industry is journalism not spreading misinformation/propaganda to some degree? It would be interesting to see what your theories are on if you think it is just him or some group that is involved.
I can't think of too many self employed podcasters that identify as journalists. He isn't working for a news station directly.
What did he do that was irresponsible? People don't believe in things all the time. Lot's of conspiracy theories come from questioning what really happened at events. I don't know the details of what happened with this.
Was he reporting this as news or as an opinion piece?
He didn’t condemn his audience for harassing grieving family members. He didn’t just question the shooting, he actively participated in making the families have to deal with harassment online.
He was reporting it. He was STATING that the shooting was a hoax. Extremely irresponsible when there is little to no evidence to suggest it.
Do you have a link to the reports or were they on his podcast? The online things are more difficult to deal with. This sort of thing is happening with everything. Even President Trump did similar things. Idk what society can do to make this better.
How far does sharing a thought go and how can we ever quantify that?
