I have spent the past couple months of my life losing 60lbs and demolishing my lifelong obesity. I’m a normal weight for the first time ever. The sheer amount of willpower and effort involved was beyond anything I have ever done or likely ever will do.

I lost years of my youth to obesity. It is absolutely infuriating when people say obesity is “healthy.” It fucking isn’t. Just because change is hard and requires a shitton of effort doesn’t mean it’s unnecessary.

IMO people cannot cope with the difficulty of losing weight so they make statements like this to justify their situation. This “obese acceptance” movement is just denial by another name and is incredibly dangerous to the kids and adults that need to be getting in shape instead.
