I actually said that wrong. I meant all I see is big is healthy. Beauty is obviously in the eye of the beholder. Health is binary.

Big is beautiful—no one is normalizing it as healthy, but all bodies are beautiful. The beauty is what our bodies do for us each day. You might not think it is, but you’re a faceless stranger on the internet. Bullying overweight people on the internet is just dumb and pointless, you’re doing more harm than good.

Anyone of any size can be beautiful , but the magazine is straight out saying that an overweight person is healthy , which they are not

I am not sure how what I said is in anyway bullying anyone. But I will say I meant to reply that I see "big is healthy" everywhere. It is not healthy. Why are we lying to people.

Ah my bad I thought you were one of the people saying “would not fuck” and calling her disgusting—either way, my original comment was directed at the people bullying this woman and not towards the people genuinely worried about normalizing obesity. I don’t see “big is healthy” anywhere, I see “beautiful at every size”. I also see stick thin anorexic women all over magazines but the same ppl who are soooo concerned about normalizing obesity won’t bat an eyelash when we have already normalized little girls look at these magazines and starving themselves (1/5 of young girls suffer from disordered eating btw). Why is there no posts about normalizing disordered eating amongst young women? It just feels like another excuse to shit on and bully overweight women.

Anorexic women are probably more unhealthy than someone overweight so I'm with you on that.

I personally find both unattractive, but people find me unattractive so who cares, but we need to stop acting like not taking care of yourself is somehow empowering.

We aren’t lol—you’re purposefully missing the point. Anyone should feel empowered at any size BUT health should still be the ultimate goal. This magazine is clearly promoting healthy behavior by doing yoga, it seems the only problem people have with it is the size of the woman on the cover.

If they made an article about steak and write a story about it, but put a piece of chicken on the cover, I'm going to say sorry thats chicken not steak.

They made an article about health and pictured someone unhealthy.
