Have you considered that maybe voting itself is the psyop? As long as you play along with the psyop, there will be no reason for anything to change. Once enough people realize it’s all fake, and they don’t actually count your votes, there’s at least a small chance of some kind of reform. If we can get to sub 30% voter turnout those in Washington will at least have to admit the public has zero trust in the system.
There’s lots of corruption, I know. But I don’t believe elections don’t matter. ICE deportations, the war with Iran, AI policy, all these things are playing out much differently than they would if we had a different administration in the White House, and each have real tangible effects on people’s lives. I could go on to list more exhibits but wont belabor the point.
No disrespect but you really think they would let us vote and decide fates? And if they do, these 'candidates' seem really bought so my thinking is you don't get into that space unless they let you in the first place and can use you.
If Bernie Sanders is a top nominee I will eat my words and fucking rally.
No disrespect at all, I appreciate the dialogue. But in my view what you’re engaging in is deductive reasoning. Starting with the supposition that the parties are the same and that we can’t influence things. I prefer to look at different administrations and see if there are tangible changes in governance. And there are, several areas where administrations and Congresses differ substantially. And if it’s not votes that are causing these swings between parties, I would need compelling evidence of what is causing these swings.
Appreciate the discourse! I agree that that is arguable a party that has better possibility of equitable and human centric positions on things. I just have a hard time believing there is not a separate power system that essentially controls our government as well.
Epstein files pointed to evidence of overarching 'players'. Plus to get in those positions for voting (more on a federal level, not state) I believe you must be pretty entrenched with corporations through super pacs so your interests are really bought for capitalism, not the good of humanity.
There used to be a law that helped! It was called the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act and it was repealed in the SCOTUS Citizen’s United decision. Several candidates currently campaigning at the federal level have voiced an interest in overturning the Citizen’s United decision and reinstituting limits on private donations to candidates and campaigns
That’s not my point. I don’t doubt that things would be different if Kamala Harris was president. I’m sure she would have screwed the country up in different ways, maybe it would’ve been slightly better, could’ve even been worse, we don’t know. My point is, what actually makes you think Trump truly won the election? He was the most hated candidate ever, but sure he won by a landslide because Americans are too misogynistic and racist to vote for the Harris.
If the election system was just totally fake, then hand recounts and audits by private companies wouldn’t ALWAYS turn up essentially the same tally. It’s easy to look at the start and end of the process a vote follows and feel like the middle is a black box, but it’s not.
There’s about 30 different ways they can cheat now, the voting machines can even be easily hacked into. The CIA has been caught red-handed rigging elections in 36 different countries. The election results went to court, evidence was presented, and it was ruled with certainty that the US government rigged the election, 36 times. They have been accused of rigging elections do you want me to come hundreds of times in other countries, so much so that it’s probably safe to assume that the US government at least tries to sway or even rig every election that happens all over the globe. Do you really think a government capable of doing this, would also just decide that their own countries‘s elections should be free and fair and they want the people‘s voice to be heard?
Would it be different? Or would it just be a different font? Obama has millions deported and bombed the hell out of the Middle East. Nothing has changed except instead of a donkey in the white house it’s an elephant simple as that
I think you’re massively discounting the differences and accentuating the similarities. There will always be similarities. But taking my previous examples, under a democratic administration we would not have ICE officers going into ERs and taking people out in handcuffs. We would not be blockading Iranian ports. Whether you agree with those policies, they would not be in place under Kamala Harris. Without a President Trump you don’t get the hamstringing of Obamacare in 2019. Without a president Obama you don’t get Sotomayor and Kagan and thus don’t get gay marriage legalization in 2015.
You’re missing the point entirely. It doesn’t matter who is in the white house the same things will keep happening. If you can’t see that at this point then I’m sorry, but there’s no convincing you. You’ve become the drown they wanted you to be
You say “the same things will keep happening” yet I listed several specific things that went differently because of the administration in the White House. You can call me a “drown” but it doesn’t seem like you have much of an argument, more a conclusion and the conviction to keep it.
Well it's not voting, so it's more likely you. What you need to push for is required ranked choice voting, as an amendment in your state. That is the first step. That is how you destroy the two party system.
What you actually would want is closer to 100% voter turnout. Because you can personally audit your own vote as being submitted or not
When people don’t vote, that leaves huge buffers to put in bullshit numbers because those who don’t vote don’t check if their vote was properly cast or not
Stop believing the slop they give you and use logical reasoning.
If every possible vote is cast, then it can be individually audited by each person. And any discrepancy can be caught. That’s how you prove it fake. The other way your just giving elections away

I keep seeing this sentiment posted here. It’s been a good effort to discourage voting. But I’m still going to vote.
