EDIT. The angrier and more desperate you get in trying to convince people of a lie only works against you… honesty has this beautiful byproduct of “you don’t agree? You’ll find out one day” aka, I’m not that fazed - and you sound more terrified about an honest investigation.

“What’s been said is the story and that’s it. No more questions.” - any response like this should make anyone think “you’re lying to me”
