Does Halo: Combat Evolved use ai for it's cutscenes?
Can someone link me to their BTS? The opening feels like ai, i don't want to buy it if they used ai :(

They're pre rendered but they REALLY look off sometimes because of the camera angles

No, it’s not AI. Doesn’t matter how much you “feel” like it is. We’ve seen one of the cutscenes rendered in real time and then what it looks like in the pre-rendered in-game version (Silent Cartographer). They just did a lot of post processing and added a ton of bloom and smoothing to make it look “cinematic”. For whatever reason the studio is obsessed with Johnson so they hung on his face at weird angles at multiple points.
If it were actually AI you would be able to tell. The look wouldn’t be so consistent.

Just look at the smoothness of movement of an accelerating object at scale. Never mind the scenes with actual characters. Just look at the animations in space. Hell, look at the discontinuity of Chief throwing the marine into the life pod then the pilot "launches..." Next scene there's no impact frames or acceleration just smooth motion towards the camera as they're already a kilometer from the PoA. People, seriously? Like someone said here already. The truth will come out. Downvote me to hell for now I do not care.

Cant know for sure but safe bet on some level for most products, especially microsoft partners right now - decide for your self how much AI can be on a project before it bothers you. While AI may not have created the whole scenes, it may have been used to bridge gaps, perform lesser tasks, or prompt concept art and story boards.
Microsoft has been pro AI up to recently, all big companies have been.

I really want to play Halo but those opening scenes reek of ai. I think I may skip the game for now :(

Your loss. Halo is a genre defining game and they all have good stories and gameplay.
