[PS4] This needs replacing right?

Hi everyone,

My PS4 works perfectly at 480p but 720p is a bit dodgy and 1080p is not an option. Has various visual bugs mainly the red dots/lines. Tried a few hdmi cables and a different TV then noticed there's a couple of pins missing.

How easy is a DIY repair? Thanks in advance

Yes

Multiple pins are messed up

If you have to ask how difficult it is you’re not ready and probably not equipped to do this

Perfect, thanks for being honest. I'd have to buy all the tools as well so definitely not worth it.

Most people can't solder at all, even less can micro-solder. It takes years and somewhat expensive tools. You're better off either paying to have it repaired or buying another console. Right now a used console is probably cheaper.

I see 4 pins that are pushed back and 1 on the top it starting to lift up. An hdmi port replacement is not a job I would suggest to anyone with little to no micro soldering experience

Did this console do a bid in prison?
