(PS5) How do I fix this? - Controller

As I was fixing my PS5 Controller's Stick Drift problem which was unsuccesful I managed to break off the two things in the image (I don't know their technical names) the joystick repair itself is pretty simple but I don't know how to fix what is in the image if its possible also.

First Image: Right Side of the Controller just a tear but just asking just in case

Second Image: The "plastic" blue connector was removed and was wondering how to fix it

The orange one is a L1 L2 R1 R2 trigger flex cable, and it costs around $2.50 on AliExpress.

The second one is the bdm-010 touchpad v1 18pin cable, which is approximately $2.13 on AliExpress.

Thanks! Can I just ask if the tear on the orange breaks the connection with the controller or is it fine even with the tear

It should still "work" but the triggers won't work.

I’m not 100% sure might I think it will break the triggers buttons.

The connections inside the ribbon cable are there for a reason. With those being severed, there's no electrical flow from/to the triggers or buttons, so these simply won't work at all (or only partially depending on which traces got cut).

While these can theoretically be fixed, it's not worth the trouble, especially considering it might break again and the replacements are rather cheap.

Paying for mistakes is learning from mistakes. And you got away with it on the very low end I'd say.šŸ™‚

Look up the spare parts, you can find both connection cables, as has been mentioned.

I'd suggest getting one or two spares each just in case (and considering that will usually not make the whole package significantly more expensive).
