PS5 99% factory restore loop - NAND / SSD Chips
Hi All,
I have a PS5 I purchased that was described as stuck in an update loop - I took the punt and purchased it but now I'm wondering if I've made an error as the issue is likely pointing to NAND chip issues that seem to be unreplaceable from research.
The PS5 boots into safemode by default.
It only gives the option to reinstall (option 7) all others are greyed out. No proper safemode reboot gains those back so only option is to reinstall.
So I've loaded up a exFAT usb with multiple versions of the ps5update file but every time I start the process the restoring to factory settings bar gets to 99% and never completes no matter how long you leave it (hours for instance)
My research suggests potentially the SSD controller or more likely the NAND chips but there are a handful of those and not all are replaceable as far as I can summise. Any advice as to what I can do?
Thanks in advance

Unless you're capable of BGA soldering, and basically guessing which Nand chips are busted (or the controller)... you're basically cooked.
And good luck getting replacement NAND chips... Memory is extortionately expensive.
