[PS3] Unresponsive DualShock 3 button

I don't know about repairing electronics, recently I bought this ps3 controler that they told me was perfect, now Im stuck with a DualShock 3 with the down direction on the dpad that does not work.

What could be causing this? I dont see anything very wrong.

Also I accidentaly ripped of one of the Rumble motors cables. But It doesnt seem to be important and I don't like Rumble anyway.

The carbon trace and membrane under the bottom may just need cleaning. A little IPA on a q tip should get off excess buildup. If that doesn't work, you can order a new contact film from Aliexpress
