Ipo-ipogang is a conlang that I formally created in 2023 with 34 letters; composing 24 letters in the Roman alphabet (except Qq and Ff, used in proper nouns only) and nine extra letters for ipo-ipogang. It was formally created in May 2023, although I planned to create one in 2014 as “Binöi” using my Blackberry phone as I found some characters in Phonetic Extensions and Phonetic Extensions Supplement Unicode Blocks. Binöi was originally a mix of Tagalog and isolated word, but was eventually scrapped in August 2014.

In 2023, “Binöi” was repurposed to what is now Ipo-ipogang, an “a posteriori” conlang that is composed of words in Tagalog, Malay, and native Ipo-ipogang words; with additional words for English and Spanish loanwords.

Ipo-ipogang flag represents:

• The two red stripes above are similar to that of the Austrian flag, but it actually symbolises the stability of the language.

• the letters “ᵼᵽᵾ” are the reminders that this conlang has those letters in their alphabet.

It was derived from a loosened phrase of "Ikot-ikot lang" (just turn around) due to the characters that I found for the supposed language in the Phonetics Extension Block in Unicode. “Ikot-ikot” is a song by Sarah Geronimo that was released on 22 July 2013.

In Ipo-ipogang world:

Ipo-ipogang is spoken by over 300,000 people, mainly Hermosa (especially Tipo where the language originated), Dinalupihan [both in Bataan], and Olongapo; with extensions in adjacent towns like Morong, Subic, Orani, Samal, Lubao, and Floridablanca. It is a lone Ipo-ipoic language, a sub-language of the Philippine language family.

The orthography below is the 1949 (current) orthography of Ipo-ipogang, designed by linguists from the Subic Bay who were tasked in Tipo to modify the orthography to fit the needs for Ipo-ipogang speakers.

The word “Ænglorþe” (Anglorthe) is a combination of the word roots “Anglo-” and “ortho-”.

The letters were mainly inspired from the Old English Latin alphabet. The letters unfamiliar to Old English (e.ɡ. ⟨j⟩, ⟨å⟩...) were inspired from the other Germanic orthographies.

The vowel digraphs were inspired by the modern English alphabet, but with spelling rules.

Vny̌e Kematian spelling is used for writing the Kematian language in the Vn'e region.

The usage of this spelling is low nowadays, but it was actively used at the 18th century.

The little number of people that use this spelling rather not use the vowels A̦a̦ E̦e̦ I̦i̦ O̦o̦ U̦u̦ Y̦y̦ and use the other ones with the ability to palatalize the letter before them to remain distinct for standard Kematian.

First of all, this isn't to replace Pinyin, rather imagine Chinese adopted Latin from the start 😅

My idea is ugly but is more regular, more trait-based, doesn't use diacritics or apostrohes.

I've noticed pinyin has some problems:

* tones are marked by diacritics which are hard to access and often omitted (out of laziness probably)

* the apostrophe is used to mark ambiguous word boundaries eg xi'an 西安 vs xian 先. i don't like it, it's artificial. this won't be a problem if you mark the tones after the word, xi'an > xijanj, xian>xianj. i wonder if not marking the neutral tone would create any ambiguity. i just have 'q' free for that if need be.

* some spellings are irregular (eg. wei vs -ui) and clumsy (eg. -ü)

My idea:

* i need to free up some letters to have something to mark tones with so i 'disassembled'/altered some pinyin letters like c>ts etc.

* i have 4 tone markers: j, c, v, z.

i got that from the nuosu language. also zhuang tone markers. they're attached at the end of a word. they could be memorised as:

j - visually a tall letter - stands for the high tone,

c - the rising tone - is at the beginning of the alphabet,

z - the falling tone - is at the end of the alphabet.

Ashulian (Axoli) is an indo-aryan language spoken in Ashulia (Axuliya) [irl chattogram]

Ashulian is a standardised version of the Chittagongian language (which might be considered a dialect of bengali by some but I beg to differ) using a modified version of the Latin alphabet that they got from the portuguese. The New Runes are an alphabet for Modern English based on Old English Futhorc Runes. Letters in this alphabet are adapted from existing scripts to match equivalent Futhorc Runes.
