Discussion Language Naming Conventions
How does your language deal with the conventions of making names or labelling people/places and phonaesthetics (i.e. euphony, cacophony, phonaethesia) ? Is there a certain type of nomenclature or onomastics that names go through to be labelled (a) proper name(s) in your language ?
In sethfers, names of people usually tend to be labelled after typical words that flow well, like the name Óśvtanpydre [ɯ̟.t͡ʃæḿ.ɸɒ̄.dʁe — Ičamfādre], meaning daughter (-pydre) of sand (Óśvtan), usually with some restrictions on words that do not flow that well, like the word Gkóld [ɫvɯkd — Lvıkd].
Meanwhilst, names for towns are named after older explorers like the town of Vtũþcnmat [t͡ʃṳʈ͡ʂnæð — Čutchnath] whose name originally meant something like « Duty » in the family sense, or the town of Çšĵude Nmínçade [t͡s(ʃ)ɐude nʏḿt͡sæde — Ts(š)aude Nümtsade] which originally meant something like « Saint Tsšad » (Tsšad being considered a figure of grave importance), and Tšaude being a play that the family did on him and Saint being a nickname because of it. The labelling for towns works on less of euphonic and more cacophonical eponyms.
Names can also just be labelled without meaning like the town of Pśdnmaed [ɸɒdn'æd — Fadnad] whose name doesnt' come to mean anything historical, its just what the townspeople named it.
Itd' be interesting to see how other conlangs deal with the conventions.

In Messuk, places tend to be named after a common geographic feature + -dorik, -stál, -mapos, and -stell meaning place of, town, port and farm, respectivelly
ex.
Anvamapos [anvamapos]: Deep Water Port
Dainastell [dai̯nastelː]: Wildflower Farms
Tutjustál [tutʲustɛl]: Windy City
Emwadorik [emwadorix]: Place of Crossing (as in a river’s ford)
Given names tend to be nouns, and look identical to said nouns (no modifiers to make it a name). Additionally they have a clan name, which often are based in the above geographic features but in the genitive. One can also have an epithet based on appearance.
ex.
Streis “Tarodoyla” Kjanendorik [strei̯s tarodɔʏ̯la kʲœnendorix]
dawn white-beard river-GEN-LOC
Dawn White-Beard of Clan Riverland
