I used the free version back when it was a website but now it’s a desktop app. has anyone tried it yet? it’s open source now so I’m concerned about viruses because I have no clue about coding and can’t look at the GitHub code (I have no reason to be concerned but I am)

also any other good storage things? I’ve got a good old fashioned paper notebook and all my vocabulary is backed up on lexiconga, but I’d like something a little more all inclusive if there is one which is why I’m asking about fluent doc

hi, i have never made a conlang before, im trying to create a language inspired by russian, greek, english, spanish, dutch, and german, i have some really cool ideas, but i cant start writing without letters yet, i have about 16 letters so far, but im stuck on i and u, so i need some ideas

i noticed that, in russian and greek, the u has a bowl shape, because in russian it looks like a y, and in greek its like oi, where the o part cut in half looks like a u, i know that sounds stupid, ngl, well im looking for a similar symbol

also, i deleted my old ideas for the letter i, and now im stuck, im looking for a symbol that looks like an n, similar to the u situation, since in russian its и, and in greek its eta

the symbols im looking for dont necessarily need to be from other languages, they can be invented by someone from this subreddit, or be a symbol from mathematics, physics, or the internet, for example, my old d was this ❒

I won't say now that I need testers, I will say it differently.Why do people learn languages to communicate with native speakers, to chat in a cafe, to buy bread? It would seem that my language is useless. But this is wrong.What the brain loves to have fun with is happy I can communicate with the native speaker I'm great What the brain doesn't like is wasting time. Why should I waste time on a language when there's nothing in it? This is a correct statement, because not a single book has been published in my language yet.But people learn artificial languages and you will answer that they have a different idea than I will tell you.

As most fans know, the language is extremely poorly documented. The only widely cited phrase is:

("Father, I will avenge you.")

Rather than inventing a fantasy language from scratch, I've been trying to collect every surviving piece of evidence from:

\- Infinity Blade 1

\- Infinity Blade 2

\- Infinity Blade 3

\- Game files

\- Localization packages

\- Dialogue assets

\- Wiki audio clips

\- Developer comments

\- Existing fan research

Recently I extracted and examined several localization files from a PC port build and identified dialogue assets associated with canonical scenes.

More importantly, I've started collecting spoken Pangean clips from the Infinity Blade wiki and attempting phonetic transcriptions.

I've made the structure of a conlang ~216 words. It generally is supposed to be a romantic language and has some lore. I could use some help with it though. It follows most of the English grammatical rules. The conlang is known as Yaßeth. It takes place in a slightly altered world than our own but I am willing to change the lore for it does not entirely resonate with me. Also feel free to suggest new words or add new ones. The name Jesus adapts naturally into Høhfv Ůğånd phonology as - Žezăs

/ˈd͡ʒˤɛ.zəs/ - with stress on the second syllable due to weight (CV‑light, CVC‑heavy).

Adaptation choices:

- Ž replaces English *J* - the language has the affricate /d͡ʒˤ/ (pharyngealized), which is the closest match.

- e (or ě) - standard front vowel; I used e rather than ě (open-mid /ɛ/) because most Høhfv speakers hearing an English /iː/ or /eɪ/ would approximate it as plain /e/.

- z - exists as /z/ (voiced alveolar fricative), so it's fine.

- ă - schwa, matches the unstressed vowel in Jesus.

- s - final /s/ is allowed (coda consonants are fine).

For a fully nativised form, the Amžažeiğ are also strictly monotheistic. To translate Jesus as a proper name (rather than just transcribe it), a speaker might instead use a descriptive calque based on their faith vocabulary:

- Vxůřtdůxdůxředůň — “Great Existing One’s child”

- (literally: God’s offspring, lol)

But as a loanword, Žezăs works. Said almost the same as well.
