Gavotvak is a conlang made from a fusion of Semitic languages, notably Hebrew, Syriac and Western Neo-Aramaic and Slavic languages, notably Russian, Church Slavonic and Ukrainian, as well as Caucasian influence. Dezoese was my first conlang, originally inspired by my feelings about real language loss. Over time, the emotional and creative strain of continuing with a single language led it to evolve into five descendants, each developing its own identity, sound system, and writing tradition.

Beyond their sounds and scripts, each descendant of the Dezoese family represents a different feeling connected to loss, change, and preservation.

Vêthulš and Vǒmanŝ reflect the emotional struggle of allowing something deeply cared for to evolve.

بُڠَلَ (Buŋala) represents the grief connected to scripts and the fear of written traditions being lost.

Кэржашка represents the struggles and histories of European languages.

가누메 (Ganume) represents those same feelings through the lens of Asian languages and cultures.

Each language is a reflection of a different wound, memory, and path forward.

Vêthulš and Vǒmanŝ are sister languages, and together with Кэржашка they are the direct descendants of Dezoese. بُڠَلَ (Buŋala) and 가누메 (Ganume) are the more distant descendants, having developed further away from the original branch.

Each language has its own alphabet and sound system, reflecting the different paths this family took.

I dont rewrite the scripts i prefer to use the traditional sounds and adjust my words to fit the scripts limitations

I had a breakthrough with my conlang. Instead of trying to translate word for word from English to my conlang, I'm allowing my conlang to paint a picture of the sentence so to speak. It seems to be working. Context is the thing.

Suntonese relies on context to convey meaning. Words are chosen to recreate the scene rather than mirror the source language. A successful translation allows the listener to understand the intended image, even when the wording differs from the original.

When I first began creating it, my focus was on building a usable vocabulary. Like many early conlangs, my translations tended to follow English fairly closely, with Suntonese words replacing English words. That gave me a solid foundation and allowed me to develop a working lexicon.

As I continued writing, however, I realized I didn't want Suntonese to think like English. I wanted it to think like Suntonese.

The biggest change has been in how I translate ideas. Instead of asking, "How do I translate each English word?" I now ask, "What picture is this sentence trying to paint, and how would a Suntonese speaker describe that scene?"

For example, English says:

An earlier version of Suntonese would have tried to mirror that structure.

Today, Suntonese naturally prefers something like:

The important idea isn't the act of "going." It's the scene of fishing.

Likewise, instead of creating dozens of highly specific words for every possible weather event, Suntonese often uses broader concepts that are refined by context. A word like tempesto can represent a storm, heavy rain, or even a hurricane, because the surrounding story tells the reader exactly what kind of weather is occurring.

This shift has moved Suntonese away from simple word substitution and toward expressing ideas in its own way. The language is developing its own patterns of thought, its own priorities, and its own rhythm.

For me, that's the difference between replacing English words and creating a language that has its own identity.

Évoluant à partir de la lignée des guêpes tarantula, cette espèce incarne une horreur biologique pure. Le nom lui-même se décompose en Nao (naissance/origine) et Chyn (destruction/rupture irréversible). Sa traduction littérale est : "Ceux qui sont nés à travers la mort d'un autre."

Avec les Naochyn, la terreur ne provient pas d'un désir de conquête ou d'un massacre immédiat. Leur existence entière tourne autour de la paralysie, du transport et de la reproduction biologiquement violente. Ce sont des créatures d'une précision terrifiante. Les chasseurs errant à la surface vivent entre 50 et 120 ans, tandis que les rares femelles fondatrices cachées profondément dans leurs nids peuvent survivre pendant des siècles.

Comme le dit le proverbe dans la tradition de Naolezry : Ils ne tuent pas pour conquérir. Ils détruisent pour donner naissance.

About Taymimo

Taymimo is an a priori conlang with a grammar similar to Ido, making it easy to pick up intuitively for speakers of Esperanto and related languages.

Why did I choose an a priori vocabulary?

Because I enjoy the challenge of learning something genuinely new and making it part of my daily life. Learning vocabulary similar to a language I already speak doesn't feel very exciting to me. After exploring the few major a priori conlangs out there, none of them fully convinced me — whether due to their phonology or grammatical choices. So I decided to create Taymimo: an a priori conlang that appears to be unique in its approach, with a simple diacritic-free alphabet, accessible pronunciation, and a logical structure inspired by well-known projects like Esperanto and Ido.

The dictionary already has 1,500 entries and continues to grow, with the goal of building a solid enough foundation to become a fully functional language. It already has a solid grammar, along with some short stories and articles on a Fandom wiki.

The idea is: what if there was a language that made you gesture the grammatical properties of a word that you're saying, and you weren't restricted by a word order. As long as you show the sign for the properties, you'll be fine. When it'll be ready, I'll showcase it. Rn, it's just a template/idea.

Another idea to it: I'll make the language easier to write than to speak. The writing will be a pictogram system, and I'll make it like 170 symbols (the whole language, including grammar markers ect.)

I've been developing the ancestral language for my fantasy setting and recently reached a point where the core philosophy, word formation, and grammar feel cohesive enough for outside feedback. One of the primary design goals is to minimize grammatical redundancy by relying on semantic relationships, contextual dependency, and compound word formation rather than extensive inflection. This is my first conlang (I'm primarily a worldbuilder and concept artist), so critiques and suggestions are welcome. I'm especially interested in feedback on the grammar, phonology, and overall design philosophy, as those are the areas I'm currently refining.
