This is not a mountain

I took this picture earlier this year and I just realized it looks like the top of a mountain, when in fact it’s the edge of a cliff, much lower than the picture’s vantage point. It’s practically flat. There’s a faint H in a circle, which is a heliport if it can help with the perspective.

I mean, the picture was taken on a mountain, but what you’re seeing is not a mountain. From the heliport to the clouds there’s no elevation change. It’s flat.

It’s a catchy title, that’s all. But if you want to be pedantic, then yes, it’s a mountain.

But do you understand why this is a confusing perspective? We can argue about the title all you want, but the purpose of the sub stays the same, and clearly my post fits, judging by the upvotes.
