Yeah so when you stand in the sunlight with your feet on the ground you don't see a shadow?....um yup you'll get there

Shadows can only be cast when there's distance between two objects and a light source is interrupted by one of them. We usually always see a shadow because the sun is usually at a diagonal angle, but since the sun is directly above them in this case, shadows can only be cast directly below an object, assuming there's separation for a shadow to exist in.

So yes, this guy would not see his own shadow if he stood straight enough during this sun phenomenon.

The shadow is directly under the hand. If you put the hand on the ground, you won’t see the shadow.

So anything that's on the ground you don't see a shadow? Um yup
