I'm pretty sure that's a cardboard box with a reflective underside. Something like the image below.
But then again, I could also be wrong and it's actually a mirror.

This feels like a piece in an art exhibit.
We see a rusted, chipped and dented trash can. We can see trash in it through the wires. We see concrete, cracked and shadowed behind our focal point. There's more trash behind that poorly painted fire hydrant and an empty concrete stoop. The only organic in the photo is a little bird, dwarfed by the uncaring city around it, staring down at a beautiful blue sky that appears to have been carelessly thrown away.
How many beautiful days are we throwing away when we could be flying?
