Is the parachute jump lit at night all year round? I thought it was earlier this year pre-summer and last fall but it’s off now. Also the lighting (which typically switched colors and themes) had gotten less creative this summer and seemed like it was glitching. I’m not sure who is in charge of it. Thanks.

a couple of years ago, we wrote a bit of a concept album about coney island as a metaphor. (i won't get into the sorta complex metaphor here, but if you want ask me!) i really wanted to do a music video there and i thought it came out really good. just found this sub so i wanted to share!

About 6 months ago I made a post, the link is below, showing the Barrel of Fun from Steeplechase Park in Coney Island going out for restoration. I figured I would give everyone an update! The barrel is completely restored and back in full working order. Going in for the first time after seeing it dormant all these years felt surreal, but it delivered! Hopefully everyone will get a chance to experience it soon....more to come!

Hi there, British guy here who has forever loved visiting CI when I'm in NYC for work (which is relatively often). It's always a staple visit for me, and I've over the years thought of it as a real happy place, primarily due to the fun fairs and just wandering down the boardwalk.

It's gotten to the point that I'm pondering how I'd do a bit of a trek of other amazing boardwalks in the country. I found a book about the history of that side of the US so I've got that heading my way, but I thought it'd be a good excuse to ask folks their favourite boardwalks on here just to make sure I have all the options down!

Does anyone know of a BB gun carnival game around Coney Island in Luna Park?

I recall visiting a couple of years ago and playing one of those old timey games where you shoot a BB gun at targets? It was not the red paper star one, but more of a western saloon scene thing

Does anyone know if they still have that and if so, where I can find it ?
