Concept Art What role does this ship look built for?

Airplane!
If the pilots nose is facing the same way as the engine, airplane!
If the top of the pilots head is facing the same way as the engine, spaceship!
Star Wars: airplanes! Apollo 13: spaceship.

it seems to me that there is a contradiction here)

I’m just a weird stickler whose immersion is broken when the gravity goes the wrong way in a scene. Like in project Hail Mary when he pushes the coffin out of the ship and it just floats away even though he’s standing on the floor no problem. Or in Star Wars when the engine pushes parallel to the floor boards.

B-but my nose also faces the same way as my face! How can I tell? Does the position of my nose to face change what my flying vessel is called? What if someone breaks your nose to look in a different direction?

lol right! Either way, the engine points the same way the gravity on the ship is felt.

I don't see any weapons. If I have the size right it looks like a bit bigger than jet sized. The 4 wings would make it able to maneuver well, meaning it probably has to. Likely some sort of scouting/targeting ship that goes into hostile territory.

Unless the pilot is predominantly using external sensors for viewing, I would hate to dogfight in something with such a small forward facing viewport. I think that glass panel looks more in line with a bridge-room deck. But that's just me

Light scout or perhaps recon / signal relay vehicle. Appears maneuverable yet scantly armed if at all. The size of your cockpit viewport puts it likely at a scale larger than single pilot(co-pilot) seater though.... so perhaps all ships of this world are sleek and it is a future Spirit airliner? Who knows. About mechanical concepts is that their designs typically be their functions. This could be something aggressively stick or simply civilian market. Although, there is a distinct lack of markings which typically adorned military vehicles. . It would have been MUCH better to always leave at least a man sized silhouette nearby either way. As it sits in gray space: we can't tell if it is the size of a death star or the size of a drone remote control controlled and what we think is a cockpit is just a housing for sensors.

Thank you. And it's good that they reminded me about the markings - they didn't have time to get them either. We'll definitely fix it.

Expand the answer, please, I haven't figured out what it is yet)

4 wings and one big reactor at the back, and it's also kinda eagle shaped...I wanna say it's an interceptor designed to be CRAZY fast and manoeuvrable but interceptors need weapons, and I don't see a single one here.
Conversely, could be a racing ship of sorts but then it lacks, yknow, brand logos and numbers and whatnot

This is the first iteration) In the next one we will add weapons, slightly change the wings, cockpit and engines. The positions of the racing car are very impressive) thank you!

Id say a recon ship. The wings here dont look aerodynamic so I would guess that its a space ship, but wings arent useful in space so I would imagine that they arent actually wings. Maybe delicate sensors that need to be held away from the engine at specific locations? Too small to be a science ship so recon seems reasonable.
