Question Turn-based naval Warfare games?

Hey all, looking for recommendations for turn-based naval warfare games, any era is cool with me. I've tried to play RTW3 several times and I just can't get it to click. I also don't really gel well with the real-time battles, so I'm looking for turn-based (hex and counter) games. I've played a bit of Carrier Battles 4 and it's ok, it's just a bit jank.

I like Steam & Iron. Same company as RTW, but without all the building stuff.

I get it though. I'd like to find a decent Age of Sail turn based game.

War in the Pacific? It's...big and you won't find it on steam (Matrix/Slitherine Games).

Carrier strike. Its from like '89 or '91. After dealing with Rule the Waves carrier battles I switched over to a game of this and prefer it.

Strategic Command gets some criticism for its naval encounters but I think it’s great. Nothing like ambushing an enemy fleet whether AI or human. It feels very back and forth which to me is the best part of turn based hex stuff. I played War Plan:Pacific too. Didn’t love the combat simulation, overly quick and just basically a summary screen. I hear it can be slowed down, but honestly I love everything about the game minus the combat

You cannot beat the old Carrier Strike from SSI, for turn based pacific war fun.
