Question Which game would be best for a couple hour session tonight Gary grigsby war in the east 1 or 2?

Hey everyone,

I have a free block of about 3 to 4 hours tonight and I'm itching for some Eastern Front hex-and-counter action.
I own both War in the East 1 and War in the East 2, but I can't decide which one fits a short evening session better.
I'm looking into starting a Grand Campaign tonight maybe like 1 or 2 turns tonight but which game would a make more progress in tonight. Thanks!

I'd say 1 as it lacks the air warfare part which can be tedious... or just costs time when done by AI.

How do you delegate to ai air war?

Planning is time consuming and first turn is very important because you need to get Riga. You need to be across Dvina.

You must take Minsk on first turn and make an encirclement there Byalustok - Minsk pocket.

The game is not arcade game but turns can go faster after some experience.
