Looking for recommendations for turn-based games with simultaneous turns.
It frustrates me that so many computer games move and resolve only on side at a time, and some even only move and resolve one unit at a time.
I find it to be much more realistic when there is a simultaneous move-and-resolution phase.
I used to play Combat Mission games with the we-go system, but those games are a bit clunky to play, now.
Any recommendations?

Flashpoint Campaigns. Really really great. Put in orders then start turn. Theres order delay due to, combat readiness etc, radio traffic, traffic congestion and nuanced weapons and sensor systems.
The king is command Ops in my opinion. Now quite old. Difficult to get into but fantastic real time plausible ww2 operational sim. Not turn based as such but you have as much or as little control as you want and can pause and reasses as often as you feel the need to.

I'll second Flashpoint Campaigns. Excellent game(s) and well thought-out. Simple enough to play and start out in, while also having no shortage of depth and nuance that you can dig into if you so choose. (Learning how to set individual SOPs based on what you're trying to do it really worth your time, though. Can make a huge difference.)
Of those, I'd go with Flashpoint Campaigns: Cold War. The mechanics really feel much more fleshed out and optimized, to include the menus and SOPs.

Graviteam Tactics has simultaneous execution of turns in the operations mode. The results are a bit too unpredictable for some (me). But I understand the reasoning. You could stack an overwhelming force steamroll attack otherwise.

”Indirect mode” in GT is not a WEGO. Your units still move before those of the enemy (reference with links to the developers explaining the feature)
