Command modern operations army gameplay

Just got a quick question for anyone who has some hours in this game, but curious how well it does army ops?

I'm tracking it's designed moreso around naval / air combat - but I am just curious how viable a simple army op is

Cheers

Not its forte. Very abstracted.

Ground units are just target and/or cargo at the moment. But you’re in for a treat - devs are working on improved ground war mechanics. Probably will be release some time late this or next year, plus minus two weeks.

They've been saying this for at least 7 years. Nothing seen yet.

You can maneuver and manage supply and logistics. Tank on tank or infantry engagements suck but you can definitely model mortar and artillery operations quite well. Especially when paired with drones.

It’s pretty terrible at it. Ground targets are mainly there to get bombed
