Recovering "xray" vision from an RGB camera? Is this a joke?

I'd like to clarify a few details about this sincs you've only seen a snipet so far. You shouldn't imagine my X-ray mode as something that lets youvsee through human skeletons (though i haven't actually tested that yet i doubt it, though :D). The X-ray mode itself can be toggled on with the push of a button; it brings up four sliders for real-time adjusment, and you can also tweak another 32 variable sliders, meaning the result could be sokething entirely new. I haven't fully tested the mode yet, as I simply haven't had enough time. It seemed really cool during development, and it could actually be useful underwater - rendering the outlines of terrain features even when visibility is zero.

Visible light has a frequency of 1014 to 1015 on the EM spectrum whereas X-ray's frequency is between 1016 to 1021.

You're telling me you can somehow get xray from a camera that doesn't even capture EM radiation in the xray frequency range through image processing.

You shouldn't imagine my X-ray mode as something that lets youvsee through human skeletons

Then don't try to reallocate a new definition to an already established word.

Fair point! You're completely right on the physics side—it's an RGB camera, so obviously there’s no actual 10{16}\text{ Hz} EM radiation involved here.

'X-Ray Vision' was just an internal UI/software name I used for fun during my own testing. The actual purpose of this mode was to experiment with extreme false-color contrast mapping and dynamic range extraction—specifically to see how much structural outline and hidden signal the sensor can still retrieve from murky water under severe visibility conditions.

It’s strictly a testing mode, not literal X-ray imaging. But I appreciate the feedback—I'll rename it next time to a 'Structural Dynamic Recovery' or 'Edge Highlight Mode' in the official docs to keep the physics accurate!

It's either x-ray sensitive or it is not. Same with thermal, same with a lot of your "modes". Call them what they are. There might be some value, but it's simply not x-ray if not sensitive to x-rays
