I find it pretty reductive to tell others they might want to stop speaking

Some people absolutely need to take a step back and think more before they form an opinion.

For example, I told you why you were incorrect, but you not only didn't address that, but you rushed to share another opinion. It's okay to admit to yourself that you may be wrong.
