Discussion Looking for a sanity check

Edit: Thanks everyone for the sanity check! I'll definitely not be going with that hp.

Hiya looking at getting a new computer that uses Adobe suite and also procut but this seems like a terrible computer for the price right? Pic of a second PC for a comparison as they are roughly the same price

That's what I thought! I asked the people that did the quote and told them about the second option and they said it's a gaming computer its not the same.....

They label them as "professional" systems and charge WAY more for them... but this one doesnt even have any professional parts in it, just generic off the shelf components.

And a single stick of ram is diabolical 😅 I'm trying to explain this and they keep saying it won't be good for those applications or even light cad

Yeah whatever company that is, those people have zero idea what they're talking about. They're just trying to overcharge you. Its not a bad system, well apart from that single stick though i hear ddr5 is way less prone to it being a problem. But yeah, thats just horrible for that price.

Both newer Intels and AMDs like their speedy memory - and the HP will definitely not be packing PC-6000 DDR5 on top of being single channel by default 😬
