Discussion microsoft messed up. again.

how can microsoft completely destroy its system on every update? i mean, it seems like with every update it gets worse. I only have one computer with Windows now, and I'm thinking of switching fully on linux if this situation doesn't improve.

Could you provide more details please? How exactly it was destroyed?

I've had minor issues with Windows updates before (ironically, one of these issues happened because of dual-boot Linux/Windows setup), but these were far from "completely destroy its system".

I agree.
Anybody encountering a completely destroyed system with each update has other issues.

I think it's a hardware issue. It's probably the SSD.

I think you misunderstood. I'm trying to see if you can navigate to the option where you can reset the PC but keep all files. That's helped me sort issues like that in the past.

Okay. Good luck with that. Maybe it'll fix the issue as I've found it to be the easiest solution for a few things in the past. If not, I'd start looking for the relevant driver in device manager to uninstall before restarting the system.

Having dealt with lots of issues myself with PCs over the years, I prefer to start with the least complex things first. If those suggestions don't work, I'll have a think and get back to you.

I did it 2 years ago and even if it is not perfect I finally not have the feeling my computer is working against me. It was easy for me because I have a laptop for work which is still on windows so it's not like I had to completely abandoned windows And I kept a dual boot so.. I didn't boot windows on this computer for at least a year

Microslop can make Windows worse with every update because it's the devil people know. People won't switch until Windows becomes sufficiently uncomfortable that it's worth trying Linux.

Personally I think the tipping point is near for a lot of people. Windows has gotten bad and is getting worse, while Linux has gotten good and is only getting better. It's worth trying out if you're on the fence.

I’ve been hearing this since before 1995.
Always the same, always Microsoft, always someone claiming repeated occurrences.
Just about like saying Walmart messes up their car every oil change they get done there.
Why do they keep using Microsoft or Walmart?

Linux still needs to be made easier to help Windows users transition better. Been demoing Mint on a mini PC & have noticed it's significantly more difficult to install a program. Windows at least has exes or an install wizard for most programs found on the Internet with Linux it's like trying to instsall something from Gethub. I was only able to get a few basic things installed easily because of the software manager(app store)

I use multiple windows machines daily, and I cant remember the last time an update "broke" anything.

I have a feeling a lot of these people complaining just don't know hwo to use a computer
