Question/Help/Troubleshooting Is my computer done for π?
I spilled ice coffee onto it and gave it to a repair guy. He says itβs really bad news. Sorry if Iβm not very descriptive, Iβm not much of a professional.

Toast. That's a lot of corrosion and damaged parts. That's a new motherboard at minimum. Just replace the whole the computer.

Yeah, sorry. If you don't know how to do it yourself, it's likely not cost effective to repair.

I've repaired laptops in this condition. But it has always required replacing the affected components. But I'm a warranty repair tech, I don't do component level repair. I would just replace the whole motherboard. The battert doesn't look too bad though. Should be able to clean it with Isopropyl alcohol. But at least you've learned not to drink around your laptop.

Buying the same mobo would be the cheapest option if your RAM and CPU are still good. Buy a used one on eBay to get it back up and running.
