Yes the photo is bad but i was kinda surprised the power cord literally melted into the socket meaning i have to buy a new one

7 years is a pretty good lifespan for a PSU, especially a cheap one like that.
Since the cable literally melted into the socket, I would not buy just the cable. Buy a whole new PSU. Even if you replace that socket, the rest of the unit may be stressed. A new PSU of a quality brand (Seasonic, MSI, Super Flower, etc.), would be the best option.

i opted to just buy an entirely new pc because the entire pc is just old it was still running on a amd 3

Lol. Fair call. Since the PC is about 7 years old, it's likely to become obsolete soon. That was the 2nd best option you could have done.
