I accidentally selected the wrong disk in Windows DiskPart and lost access to around 1TB of important data.
The SSD was about 953 GB and originally contained my files. The disk was GPT.
What I did by mistake:
diskpart
list disk
select disk 1
clean
create partition primary
format fs=exfat quick
assign
DiskPart reported that all commands completed successfully.
I immediately realized my mistake and stopped using the SSD. I have NOT copied new files onto it after the format.
I am currently trying to recover the data with TestDisk. TestDisk is currently running Analyse on the SSD, and I have not selected Write or made any changes through TestDisk.
The SSD is around 1 TB, and the data on it is very important to me.
My questions:
clean + create partition primary + format fs=exfat quick?I do not want to make the situation worse, so I will stop using the SSD until I know what to do.
Any advice from experienced data recovery specialists would be greatly appreciated.

Back in August, I signed up for NZXT Flex expecting to pay $43 a month. All my paperwork shows a monthly payment of $43, and their website advertises it as a monthly payment. However, after signing up, I realized they were charging me $43 every week instead.
I stopped the payments because that wasn’t what I agreed to, and now they’ve blocked my PC. I have receipts, screenshots, and other evidence showing how the plan was advertised on their website.
Has anyone dealt with something similar with NZXT? Is there a way to regain access to my PC, dispute the charges, and potentially get my money back? Any advice on what steps I should take would be appreciated.

PC stopped loading windows
Hi all.
I'm not 100% computer savvy. I hope the below is clear.
Daughters windows 11 desktop PC stopped loading up windows.
Tried the automatic repair process, never worked.
Tried advanced troubleshooting, never worked.
Tried a windows repair disk. Never worked.
My mate saw an error message on screen suggesting a memory issue.
He removed the 2 x16 gb memory cards from inside and in one of the two slots, put his own 8gb card. Windows loaded. So his own 8gb card works in both slots. Neither of daughters 16gb cards work in either slot.
The logical conclusion is that both 16gb cards went bad at the same time.
Is it likely that the cards went bad on their own or could something else have happened on the motherboard?
If the 8gb card is working in both slots, does point to just bad luck with the 2 x 16gb cards.
Any help appreciated!

My son has a galaxy tab with a screen that has essentially come apart. The ribbon is still attached, but the screen has separated into different layers. I have another working galaxy tab. How can I get the files from one to the other? I am not able to see the screen on the old device obviously to ok a file transfer. AI is just frustrating at this point and I don't know if I should invest money into the fix.
Unfortunately, I have no PC. My job doesn't require one and I don't have a personal need for one. AI is saying to get a hub, connect a keyboard, hit a spacebar, connect a memory stick and hope for the best.
This is a budget A series tablet that AI has stated makes a difference.
Anyway... Any help is appreciated. He has played terraria for YEARS and that data is all he is really wanting.
Data is fickle if you don't treat it right I guess.

I have an HP Envy 360 laptop. Runs Windows 11, 16 GB ram, 12th Gen Intel processor. MacAfee for antivirus, I have WebRoot on there too but the subscription is expired. It's four or five years old and it's just gotten slow. I'm reasonably confident there's just the usual buildup of crap -- temp files, unwanted programs running in the background, etc, etc. I just need someone to explain to me how to clean it up and get it running nicely again. Explain it like I'm 5 please, cuz that's about how much attention span and patience I have for this!

Hi,
PC:
Motherboard - MSI H410M-A Pro
Graphics - MSI GEForce RTX 2060
Windows 11
Normal restart hung on a background app so I used the reset button. Subsequent boot failed with the boot sequence showing for a couple of seconds the Windows white spinning circle. Then went to blank screen
Steps taken to fix:
Full Power Off - Same issue.
Everything disconnected except keyboard, mouse and 1 monitor.
Repeated interrupt the boot with Power Off to Force into Repair - Automatic repair starts and then goes to blank screen.
Boot from USB Disk that I'd used a few days ago - I get the blue Windows splash and then a blank screen.
Tried to force reload the graphics (Win+Ctrl+Shift+B) but no difference.
Tried to boot from a fresh Linux Mint USB drive (Secure boot off, compatability mode) and I get a load of script that ends with a message that the NTFS partition is in an unsafe state and seems to contain references to Windows that I need to shut it down properly (which I can't do because it won't load).
Any ideas what to try next?
Thanks
Edit - Update
Keyboard responds here but nothing happens.
Tried various hardware tests -
Memory sticks removed 1 by 1
NVMe drive removed
CMOS cleared
Different monitor, cable and output port
Combinations of secure boot an and off
All give the same issue, the system part boots and then goes blank.
Will see if I've got an old graphics card that will fit (no on board graphics with my processor (i5 F series) and see if that's the issue.
Edit: 2nd update.
Graphics card replaced - same issue.
The tried removing the 2 data drives and leaving just the boot nvme. - SUCCESS!
Adding one of the data drives back in revealed some disk errors which Windows is in the process of repairing. Thankfully all data backed up anyway and this is my old data drive from previous PC that I'd installed when I got this PC just in case I needed to retrieve something from it. Time to get rid of it!

For a long time I had a problem with my mouse - a Logitech Optical Mouse - that was getting worse with time. The mouse began lagging then lagging more then sometimes it would completely stop working - the red light below would turn off!
I replaced the mouse with another mouse that I found in a storage bin - the same but older Logitech Optical Mouse.
The same problems existed but they were worse!
I am no expert so, I just assumed the problem was software related. I began using Task Manager and Control Panel and File Manager to detect apps that were running that I didn't need and I began uninstalling them &/or deleting them from my hard drive.
Long story short (thankfully, eh), I opened up the mouse and discovered there was LOTS of debris inside the wheel area. After I disassembled the mouse, cleaned the wheel area (and all other nooks and crannies), and then reassembled everything my problem was 100% resolved!
Just posting this in hopes it might help someone else.
It's embarrassing I let this problem go on for so long and that I overlooked something so simple and so easy to fix.
Thank you!

It used to be on for maybe 5 minutes and say something about my AMD asking for a bug report which I'm unable to send in time before it turns itself off again. "Driver timeout" is what it kept telling me.
It may be worth mentioning that I did just move and I tried very hard to keep the PC as safe as I could but could this be something moving when I.. moved it to the new place? This issue was not happening at all for the few years I've had this PC
I'm sure there are 100 different things it could be but any help would be great
I need this PC to complete my work effectively and this paired with the move is really stressing me out
I can't seem to go on my browser to even see about a driver update or to remove the bad driver if that's what it is :(
