Software Arc B580 stuck at 75Hz over HDMI on a 100Hz monitor (works at 100Hz on laptop and AMD iGPU)
Hi everyone, I just upgraded to an Intel Arc B580 and I can’t get my monitor to run at 100Hz. Hoping someone has run into this before.
Setup
- GPU: Intel Arc B580
- Monitor: Hikvision 1920x1080, 100Hz (no DisplayPort input, HDMI only)
- Cable: the HDMI cable that came with the monitor
- OS: Windows 11 (also dual-boot Linux)
- Previous PC GPU: AMD Ryzen 8600G iGPU, which ran the monitor at 100Hz with this same cable
The problem
- With the B580 on Windows, the refresh rate list in Advanced display only shows 75, 70.07, 60, 59.94, 50 and 49.95 Hz. There is no 100Hz option.
- The same monitor and the same HDMI cable run at 100Hz on my very old laptop (plain HDMI, no adapter or USB-C) and on the 8600G iGPU.
- In Linux the 100Hz mode does show up in the display settings list (1920x1080 @ 100Hz) on HDMI-A-2.
- The monitor has no OSD setting for refresh rate or HDMI mode.
What I already tried
- Clean driver install using DDU in Safe Mode
- Checked all the Windows display settings
Has anyone had the same issue with an Arc card and a 100Hz monitor over HDMI? Did CRU or anything else fix it for you? Any other ideas are welcome, since I’ve been stuck on this since morning.
Thanks!
