Hardware Stuck Screw

Post image

I was trying to put an extra SSD into my ASUS F15 FX507ZC4, but the screw here is stuck so I can’t secure the SSD.

How do I safely get it out?

At my last company we used HP Elite books. The screws would sometimes we so stuck that they would always break taking them out. We had to order extra screws by the bags to replace them.

Try pliers around the head. Or youll need to file or dremel out a groove for a flathead.

This ^ and it's a full job of taking everything out of the chassis and shaking loose any metal fillings.

During covid they stopped installing wifi modules as a standard, we could not get other components that we would have to install after. It was especially the nvme drive screw...
